Care staff are quitting in droves – around the world. Sadly, Australia is no exception. Almost 33% of Australian care workers plan to quit within the next three years, and around 50% plan to follow suit within the next five. Why? 1. Stress. 2. Excessive overtime/expectations, and 3. Too much paperwork. While we don’t have all the answers, our latest blog discusses the worsening home care resourcing crisis and what you can do to help reduce paperwork and stress! https://lnkd.in/g-9ViKEk #homecare #agedcare #apautomation #homecaretechnology

It’s not just about paying for overtime. Engaging in a thoughtful reflection on the NHS – it’s a complex ecosystem that requires careful consideration from all angles. 🏥💭 It's evident that a deeper understanding is needed, recognising the diverse roles involved, from consultants with varied schedules to the indispensable contributions of receptionists, administrators, nurses, and healthcare assistants. 🌐 The echelons of Politics need to foster a constructive dialogue for a more comprehensive approach to healthcare. #NHS #HealthcareInsights 🌟

We are taking care of ourselves, but may still feel burned out and lack energy… ...especially if we are caretakers. Whether we have a job where we take care of others, and/or caretake loved ones off the clock, it's easy to lose sight of the amount of energy we are giving away throughout the week. Overtime, we can find ourselves feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and burned out due to the toll caretaking can have on us and our energy reserves. ...and sometimes we contribute to the energy leaks for reasons including: We have a strong identity tied to caretaking We are good at what we do We are always available to others (our door is always open) We believe that we are the only ones who can help We feel helpless to stop others suffering no matter how much we give...so we give even more. It may be time to: 🤩 reevaluate your boundaries 🤩 redefine how you view your worth 🤩 reshape your ideas on how you define identity 🤩 rediscover what gives you energy 🤩 remember you deserve support too You deserve the same care you freely give to others every day. Contact us at Clear View Counseling to find out more about how we can help you get your energy back. https://lnkd.in/gvvVfnhM #helpforburnout #plugtheenergyleak #helpforcaretakers

Funding the Junior doctors ask of 35% hike would have cost the country around 250Million Pounds. Today the 5 strikes have already cost UK more than 1 Billion pounds. And worse it has lost all the good will of both junior and senior doctors. This goodwill ( which translates as un-paid overtime work) has been estimated in many studies to account for 15-25% of the NHS productivity. So in effect the total loss to NHS can be a staggering 30-40 Billion pounds. It is time we gave due recognition to the work of junior doctors. What do you all think..would be great to hear some support for the doctors.https://https://lnkd.in/dpm4kUwK

With 2023 already a distant memory, Savvy people are already planning their 2024 holidays; but for many employees in the UK, their days off won't be spent unwinding and relaxing as almost half (46%) of British employees admitted to working on days off throughout the year. This equates to 536 million days of unpaid overtime a year, costing the economy up to £27 billion. When employees work on days off, they can often feel underappreciated and overworked. While this might be beneficial for employers in the short term, it can also cause serious consequences for the long-term well-being of employees, with stress, burnout, and low morale resulting from extended hours. Ultimately, to ensure the health and well-being of employees and the success of businesses, it is important to recognise the value of taking regular time off and ensure rest and recovery are a priority. Make 2024 the year you take care of you! #ThirtyHoursFreePaidTimeOff #UnpaidOvertime #EmployeeWellBeing #EmpoyATemp
