I come from an industry that is predominantly powered by #women However, even today, most industries are dominated by men. In 2022, #data collected from the International Labour Organization concluded that, out of 180 countries - the #unitedstates ranks number 71 for % of women in the workforce. The percentage of women in the #workforce in the U.S is 46.38% Women remain #underrepresented at all levels, in most industries. However, know that when you call 9-1-1 it’s likely that the #hero under the headset is a #strong , #brave , #courageous #female According to a Bureau of Labor Statistics report in 2021 - 74% if 911 operators are women. “People need to see leaders who look like themselves, to understand that it’s possible for them.” Happy #womenshistorymonth #womenempowerment #womenchangemakers #genderequality #911dispatch #911dispatcher #dispatchers #publicsafety #publicsector #everydayheroes

Financial literacy is of paramount importance for women. It empowers us to make informed financial decisions, secure our financial future, and break down economic disparities. Educating and promoting financial literacy among women is not just a matter of economic empowerment but also a step towards a brighter future for all.

Every March, we celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth. This month and always, the SJC Chamber recognizes the many contributions made by women in business and the barriers they continue to break: • In the past five years, total employment by women-owned businesses rose 8%, 1.8% for all other businesses. • 5.4 million firms are majority-owned by women of color in the U.S. • In 2020, women-owned businesses executed 344,000 contracts across the U.S., with 4,591 contracts specifically providing critical COVID-19 support. • In 2021, 1.1 million of all businesses were owned by women. Women's Day 08 March The act of celebrating women on a particular day loses its significance if one fails to show respect towards them daily. Women are an integral part of our society, and they deserve to be treated with dignity and equality. Recognizing their contributions and accomplishments should not be limited to a single day of the year. Rather, we should strive to appreciate and acknowledge the role of women in our lives and their invaluable impact on society as a whole. Only then can we truly celebrate and honor the women who have made a difference in our lives and the world around us! It is an absolute necessity to respect women in all aspects, regardless of celebrating a day in their honor. A mere observance without a true appreciation for the worth and dignity that a woman inherently possesses is meaningless. Let it be known that women are not to be belittled or objectified, but rather recognized for their intellect, emotions, abilities, and physical form. Women have faced and continue to face unique obstacles, yet their contributions to society are immense and undeniable. We must uplift and honor women in all aspects if we are to create a society that is fair, just, and equitable for all.
