To combat the global cybersecurity skills shortage, Bryan Chnowski recommends leaders expand their employee search outside the traditional realm. "There are 3.5 million open cybersecurity positions worldwide," the Deputy CISO for Nuvance Health said, "There's a skills shortage. So the way that can be addressed is businesses need to target individuals that can transition into cybersecurity roles with proper training." Basically, the 'box' is empty so you've got to find an entirely NEW box to think outside of because there aren't enough cybersecurity-qualified candidates? Look for a parallel skillset in current folks and perhaps they can pivot to hire?

    We want your team to leverage the productivity that comes with gen AI-powered tools. We really do! BUT... You can't catch what you can't see. You can't fix what you don't know about. So, before you zero in on making a gen AI rollout plan, start by getting insight into where your data lives, who has access to it, and how they are using it.
