UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency’s Talent Outreach Webinars are now all available in one website- a repository of recordings of past editions and announcements of future presentations. UNHCR’s Talent Outreach Webinar Programme was launched by DHR in October 2021. Upon joining the team, I had the honor to initially co-host, then host and produce our webinars, which ever since the launching of the programme have been consistently providing potential applicants with resources to support their efforts to join and get to know UNHCR’s mission of supporting and providing assitance to people forced to flee. Key pieces of data of the 26,000+ individuals our webinars reached over the years: ~65% of viewers with a professional background from programmatic areas ~54% women ~70% nationals from the Global South ~70% first time registrants to our talent outreach activities ~40% never applied before to jobs with UNHCR ~90% likely to apply to jobs with UNHCR ~95% requesting to subscribe to UNHCR’s talent outreach newsletter Check out the recordings of the webinars and keep an eye on future presentations at https://lnkd.in/dTF9rJWV #candidateexperience #talentacquisition #unjobs #candidateengagement

My Reflections from the Session: Empowering Refugees  Yesterday, I had the privilege of participating in a thought-provoking meeting at #WEF24, hosted by the Refugee Employment Alliance. The gathering brought together influential leaders from various sectors, all committed to making a difference in the lives of refugees. As President of Adecco, I am proud to share our renewed commitment to refugee inclusion. Collaboration is Key: We firmly believe that collaboration between institutions, politicians, and private companies is the cornerstone of impactful change. By working together, we can create opportunities that transcend borders and empower those seeking refuge. Leveraging Learnings: Our experience with Ukrainian refugees has taught us valuable lessons. Now, we’re determined to apply these insights to benefit all displaced individuals. It’s an opportunity to accelerate progress and ensure that no one is left behind. Scaling Up: The time for scaling is now. We recognize that our commitment must grow, and we’re ready to amplify our impact. More and more companies joining this cause will create a ripple effect of positive change. A Win-Win-Win Game: For candidates, it’s not just about economic stability; it’s about dignity. By providing employment opportunities, we contribute to a win-win-win scenario: refugees gain hope, companies benefit from diverse talent, and society becomes stronger. Our Pledge: At last year’s Tent Partnership for Refugees conference, we set ambitious goals: connecting 50,000 refugees to work and providing training for 10,000. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that we’re raising the bar. By the end of 2027, Adecco aims to recruit 85,000 refugees and upskill 17,000. This renewed target fills us with pride and purpose. As we enter Refugee Week, Sunday 18 June to Saturday 24 June, it is important for all of us to remember the plight of those who have been forced to flee their homes and seek refuge in foreign lands. “Different Pasts, Shared Future," an important reminder that we are all interconnected, and it is our social responsibility to help those who are facing the most challenging circumstances.   For the recruitment industry, this presents a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of refugees. Let's all band together and celebrate the true diversity that these opportunities present to us all. With our networks and connections, we can all help make sure that refugees are given the opportunity to find employment and build a new life for themselves and their families. By working closely with clients and organisations that support refugees, we can have a big impact, even in areas such as adjusting our recruitment processes to ensure they are as smooth as possible, and those talented individuals are not overlooked simply because they don’t fit the box we are trying to fit them into.   Let’s reflect on the struggles of refugees, celebrate our opportunity to embrace them, and remember that we can all contribute to building a more diverse workplace by creating barrier-free and inclusive recruitment. #opportunity #future #recruitment #employment #diversity #connections
