Would you be surprised to know my 'dream job' isnt making $300,000 a year with a company car and annual company paid trips to Bali? Its not even making $100,000 a year. A dream job isn't always about money. * My dream job is one that values my experience, input and longevity in the workforce. * My dream job allows me to work remotely as this works for my home/life balance I desperately need. * My dream job allows flexibility , as being part of the aging workforce- I may need time off during business hours for issues/care. * My dream job pays me my worth. The company never uses the terms "that's just how we do it here'. My dream job treats me like an adult.

Growing Jobot remotely was a challenge, but we learned a lot. We saw that a lot of people and families prefer to be remote so they can balance their family’s needs with business needs. However, as recruiters, we are extroverts. So, spending 2 years without connecting in person made our first event in 2 years even more special. We have a lot of beautiful professional pictures of that weekend, but this is one of my favs. Just a simple selfie on a balcony with people excited about the chance to be together and celebrate each other and what we do. Getting people Good Jobs feels good. Looking forward to seeing the Jobot Family soon as we take over the Paséa Hotel & Spa with a full buy out and spend a few days reconnecting, celebrating and maybe taking a selfie or two. Is recruiting more difficult and slower in the summer? 🌞 In my opinion, yes. People are not necessarily open to chatting about new opportunities right before their summer vacation and might want to have a discussion only later after their holidays. But summer can also be a great time to recruit! Why? When you’ve stepped out of work, you might get new ideas on where you should next take your career. Maybe when you have more time to think, you start to notice some things you wish were different in your current work. Maybe you get new ideas from travelling? (Yes, I’ve thought my next move FOR SURE is a yoga instructor in Bali or running a hotel in a tiny island in Greece… 😇) It also helps that since remote working has become the norm, you can attend an interview from the hammock of your summer cottage. 😎

𝐌𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 🌍 Dear LinkedIn Network, I hope this post finds you all in great spirits. Today I wanted to tell you about an important achievement in my personal life - my second relocation. Recently change became a constant thing in my life, and I've learned that embracing it is the key to growth and personal development. Just as my first relocation in Turkey challenged me to adapt to new environments, cultures, and work dynamics, my second relocation has presented a fresh set of opportunities and experiences. Here are a few reflections on this exciting transition: 1. 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. 🧘♂️ I mean no need to be super productive and do everything during the first month. Give yourself time to breath, realize and accept new reality. 2. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡. 💪 Relocations have taught me a lot about myself. They've challenged me to become more adaptable, open-minded, and self-aware. I've grown as a person and as a professional, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me next. 3. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.🌟 It’s always not so easy to explore new places especially if you don’t speak local language. But when you have many engaging things to do you fill your life with bright moments. 4. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞.💡 One invaluable tip I've picked up along the way is the importance of learning the local language. It's not just a means of communication, it's a gateway to understanding the culture, building deeper connections, and truly immersing in the new environment. Speaking the local language opens doors to opportunities and fosters a greater sense of belonging. 5. 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. ✨ Every relocation is a chance for a fresh start. It's an opportunity to set new goals! I'm thrilled to embark on this second relocation, and I can't wait to see where this chapter of my life takes me. #RelocationJourney #NewBeginnings #Adaptability

This summer, at HR Club, we will incubate the strategy for Joblandia 2.0 and take it to the next level, after the 3-month pilot episode this spring. 💃 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 – Argentinian tango, more exactly. I received tango classes as a special birthday gift from a special friend who knows me well:) Many thanks, my dear friend for helping me achieve one of the things on my wish list! For me, the challenge will be to practice how to act as a follower:) but also to improvise, to be in the flow. I will keep you posted. 🗨 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 – Not only the second most spoken native language in the world (485 million native speakers, cf a study by Babel in 2023).
