Equity Release Advice Equity Release is a favourite topic in the personal finance world, but what is it all about? Equity Release is a plan available to home owners (with or without mortgages) who are over the age of 55. If the home is owned by a couple, the younger of the pair should be at least 55 years old. The plan is simple. These days it is commonplace for homeowners to have built up significant equity in their properties. For the sake of this article; Equity = Value of property minus any mortgage outstanding. The homeowner can borrow, tax-free, from the equity. The older the borrower the greater will be the amount of equity that can be drawn down from the home. How do you calculate equity release? To calculate the maximum loan available on an equity release plan, you require the age of the youngest homeowner and the property value. Plans start from age 55 when you can release around 22.5% of your properties value. On average, on each birthday you can release an extra 1%, up to around 55%.   We recommend seeking independent advice for anyone looking at the possibility of using Equity Release to raise cash. The money raised can be used for any legal purpose. Interest is added to the amount of equity accessed and this can be deferred until death or earlier admission to a care home. After many heroic battles and some epic moments the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers set to square off at Allegiant Stadium this Sunday in Las Vegas.  As a data company, Quorum can't predict the outcome of this year's #superbowl, but we do know tons about the fans! Spending your ad dollars in the Super Bowl of advertising means competing against the biggest brands in the world, and we don’t all have the budget to compete. Learning more about the fans you’re looking for helps develop effective messaging and reach the people who need to see it.  We looked at new car dealership visits by Fans from each team’s home stadium, here’s what we saw: Kansas City GMC Ford Subaru Nissan Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram San Francisco Hyundai Nissan Subaru Lexus BMW Top 10 Quick Serve Restaurants for each?  There are a few overlaps but we can tell right away which chains dominate in each market, at least among football fans. This is a video that I created 9 years ago for the then newly renovated Tropicana casino resort in Las Vegas. The very same one that is being shut down tomorrow, later to be demolished to make way for a baseball park. I have nothing against baseball, which is a game that I like. And I am happy that the A's baseball team is making Las Vegas their home. But the ballpark has no place on the Las Vegas strip. We should not be destroying what little we have left of Las Vegas history, and our once worldwide and world-famous greatness. Instead of the unique identity that Las Vegas once had, we are now becoming just a western copy of New York City. I have nothing against New York, or New York City, but Las Vegas used to be unique, not just in the United States, but across the globe. So I am very sad that we are still destroying it. Anyway, here is a trip down memory lane from 9 years ago, and a memory of the Tropicana Casino resort in Las Vegas, which sadly will cease to exist tomorrow, April 2, 2024.
