💥Starting in 30 minutes! Deepfactor keynote at DeveloperWeek #LatinAmerica2023. Dinesh Mistry will discuss "Reducing Alert Fatigue with Container Scans—Correlate, Prioritize, and Filter Based on Usage." Scenario: Your application is composed of 12 docker containers. Together they have 400 packages. When you run a container scan with an SCA (Software Composition Analysis) tool, you notice that 120 of them have vulnerabilities. Your security team is asking you to fix all the critical and high vulnerabilities, but your dev/devops team doesn’t have the cycles. What do you do? Today, we are releasing SharpConflux, a Red Teaming tool built by Jose Antonio Rodriguez Garcia to facilitate Confluence exploration. SharpConflux allows Red Team operators to easily investigate Confluence instances with the goal of finding credential material and documentation relating to objectives without having to rely on SOCKS proxying - which can often be unstable and difficult to configure. Find out more and download SharpConflux in our latest LRQA Nettitude Labs article below. #CyberSecurity #RedTeam #Tools #Confluence https://lnkd.in/gxbD_Hnj

Always solid guidance from Scott Gerlach on what it takes to actually shift security left within an organization. Take the time to read the article from DEVOPSdigest, but here's one of my favorite takeaways: "When security teams fail to engage developers in the shift left process, they disregard the opinions of the people who are responsible for implementing and using the technology on a daily basis." Shifting left is a team sport!
