I always leave feeling inspired and encouraged from the prestigious 1871. I was asked to share my 2024 predictions 💡: 🥇 Actionable data will take center stage as a critical role in supply chain visibility, reliability and profitability. For example, Credit Management and A/R Collections will drive responsible order-to-cash decision making 💯 🥈 Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Demand Planning 📈 will become mainstream for retailers, brands and manufacturing as they look to traditional CPG best practices. 🥉 Health and Wellness products, like those at millierelief.com 💪 and soon to launch Feeldz - hemp sprouts 🌿, will catapult the cannabis industry forward. Brands that stand up for social justice and sustainability like Rebel Spirit will lead the way. (94% premium to the stock price) Congrats shareholders of Thorne. 📊 A glance at Thorne's Financial Guidance for Full-Year 2023: Net Sales: Expected to be between $285 million to $290 million. Gross Profit Margin: Projected to be between 50% to 52% of net sales. Adjusted EBITDA: $30 - $32 million. At a $680 million purchase price, the EBITDA multiple is 13.6x. (Super strong) 🙌 🛍️ Sales Breakdown: Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Sales: Representing approximately 50.6% of the total sales. Retail Sales: Accounting for roughly 49.4%. 📈 Business Growth: DTC sales surged by 39.3% in Q2 2023, and their active subscriptions on Thorne.com grew by a staggering 60.2% year-over-year. 420 + Deep Discounts might entice customers to buy more... once. The basic idea: Make consumers feel they are paying less and getting more. When the balance is right they tend to make reckless decisions. These decisions are made because of the fear of loss. Customers buy more when they feel it's their only opportunity. If they let it pass, they may not get the same opportunity until... the next period. However, the strategy breaks if the next discount is only around the corner.
