If you just want to be told today’s word, you can jump to the bottom of this article for April 14’s Wordle solution revealed. But if you’d rather solve it yourself, keep reading for some clues, tips, and strategies to assist you. Where did Wordle come from? Originally created by engineer Josh Wardle as a gift for his partner, Wordle rapidly spread to become an international phenomenon, with thousands of people around the globe playing every day. Alternate Wordle versions created by fans also sprang up, including battle royale Squabble, music identification game Heardle, and variations like Dordle and Quordle that make you guess multiple words at once. Wordle eventually became so popular that it was purchased by the New York Times, and TikTok creators even livestream themselves playing. Not the day you’re after? Here’s the solution to yesterday’s Wordle. What’s the best Wordle starting word? The best Wordle starting word is the one that speaks to you. But if you prefer to be strategic in your approach, we have a few ideas to help you pick a word that might help you find the solution faster. One tip is to select a word that includes at least two different vowels, plus some common consonants like S, T, R, or N. What happened to the Wordle archive? The entire archive of past Wordle puzzles used to be available for anyone to enjoy whenever they felt like it. Unfortunately, it has since been taken down, with the website’s creator stating it was done at the request of the New York Times. Is Wordle getting harder? It might feel like Wordle is getting harder, but it actually isn’t any more difficult than when it first began. You can turn on Wordle‘s Hard Mode if you’re after more of a challenge, though. Here’s a subtle hint for today’s Wordle answer: Airship. Does today’s Wordle answer have a double letter? There are no letters that appear twice. Sony is erasing digital libraries that were supposed to be accessible “forever” https://buff.ly/3HTSkKZ Sony is currently facing backlash for erasing digital libraries that were originally promised to be accessible "forever." This controversial move has left many users frustrated and disappointed, as they had relied on the permanence of these digital libraries. The erasure of these libraries raises concerns about the reliability and trustworthiness of digital platforms for storing and accessing content. It serves as a reminder that even in the digital age, physical copies or backups may still be necessary to ensure the preservation of important information and content. #Sony #DigitalLibraries

We had the honor of participating in the first-time games showcase at the Berlin library campus (Zentral- und Landesbibliothek Berlin) within the iconic American Memorial Library. Our game, Suzerain, was featured with a live playthrough and Q&A under the theme “Games and Politics. Playing Democracy,” aligning perfectly with our vision to use gaming as a platform for dialogue and reflection. 🎮 At Torpor Games, we strive to be a conduit for experiences that not only engage but also open doors to discussions that enhance human empathy and multiperspectivity. 🤝 These discussions are crucial as they challenge us and push our boundaries. Suzerain, set in the fledgling democracy of Sordland, explores the tough societal issues and the fight for democratic norms and traditions. This setting exemplifies the difficult, often morally grey choices and the sacrifices necessary to uphold or strengthen democracy. Did you know that the United States has been categorized as a "flawed democracy" since 2015 according to the democracy index? Learn more about why: https://lnkd.in/ddXvWm8T 📉 I'm immensely grateful for the open minds and hearts that welcome and participate in these critical debates. Also big thanks to Computerspielemuseum Berlin for organizing. Games, as we see, are not just entertainment—they are a vibrant medium for exploring complex, morally challenging subjects, just like any other form of art. ❤️

Let's reflect 😁 In May 2000, I engineered the first livestream (that 500 people actually watched at the same time) way before youtube was even a thought bubble (Vic parliament centenary of federation sitting). - we did that to show that we could do distance/home education concepts for regional kids or in case of a pandemic. People laughed at it. Said it would never happen! (omg let's not forget covid)! In November 2001, I engineered the first live to DVD production at Bill Gates launch of Windows XP in Las Vegas. It bought the "format wars" to an end between companies and allowed developer teams to focus and develop a technology called HEVC which is used in even the phone you're probably holding right now. - But people shrugged it off as a stunt to get buskers from Bourke Street famous. Thats where all the publicity went! In October 2003, I put all my money into a concept that introduced the world to "network gaming" with "grand theft auto vice city" being the first multiplayer platform we had running at o3 Cafe in Reservoir. - folks asked "why do you need to play games with others at the same time..and in public?" 😆 The video gaming industry is now valued at over $200billion annually. Eight years ago, I bought out this concept in Music and Music Video called "AI" where we used a supercomputer to generate (parts of) the music and the entire video based on what it felt appropriate to show. At the time, nobody cared. Was so unpopular that the song (and concept) was dropped by Universal Music. - today, folks like Universal Music are all scared that it will decimate the music industry like mp3s did back in 2000, as I launched "generation 2" AI in the "Sunset" Music Video last month. But, they were the ones who supported it, eight years ago. The lesson here is: When you fear change through ignorance, you get left behind and have to compensate for it later. Be part of the change, not part of the problem. On the flipside, yes, there are people who drive a negative agenda for AI but are happy to get in a car and set their cruise control and not think that it's also a contraption where a computer "thinks" while you get distracted by your phone. 😁😁 And yes, there are people who want to steal and fool people by not stating they're using AI to create the illusion. They're just modern criminals that the legal system hasn't caught up with, yet. I'm now working on "Gen-3 AI" which is probably the "scariest" of all to folks who aren't up with the times. Some of the stuff pumping out is just...awesome. You just couldn't do it in real life, and that's why it's cool! Thanks for reading. ❤️💜 #musicindustry #technology #ai #education #video #network

A University of York research group delved into over 7 billion hours of gaming activity across a diverse range of games to evaluate the real-world impact of China’s playtime limits. Drawing data from more than two billion user accounts in China, where legal gaming hours have been enforced for the youth since 2019, the study’s findings did not reveal a decrease in intensive gaming despite the introduction of these regulations. https://lnkd.in/gB2Nev-V FuturistSpeaker.com #foresight #predictions #futuretrends #futureofwork #futurejobs #keynotespeaker #futuriststrategy #mostquoted

#SuperBowlLVIII is almost here! As an Asian immigrant, the Super Bowl has been a way for me to get a peek into American culture. It felt a sense of community, as family and friends gathered, sitting in the living room, watching the games, talking, arguing and laughing among ourselves. Yes! There is always plenty to watch - sports, entertainment, patriotism and oftentimes great commercials ;) This year, it has EXTRA meaning to me. Me and our team at #Google invented, developed and launched the #GuidedFrame feature for #Pixel8, and it's going to be in a #SuperBowl commercial during the 2nd quarter :) We leveraged Google AI to aim helping blind and low vision users for an inclusive and equitable photography experience. Check out the ad – let me know what you think! And if you believe in Technology for everyone, drop your ideas on how #AI and #genAI can help make a difference. We are all ears!! #pixel8 #inclusion #accessibility #disability #AI #GenAI #Tech #teampixel #apple
