Record revenues, improved profitability and higher return on capital 📈   We are delighted to announce a strong set of results, building on last year’s excellent progress.   We reported record revenues of £148.7m with a growth of 19% compared with FY2022, driven by increased activity levels across all divisions. We delivered an improved operating margin of 3.9% and increased pre-tax profit of £5.4m in the year to April 2023, up from £3.6m previously. "This is certainly something we will be considering in our new financial year" In this example, like many organizations, that meant April. It may be obvious, but you don't need to wait. Time kills opportunities and momentum often has to be restarted. Assuming you have qualified the interest is real and the objection is the delay in progressing a conversation today, here are a few suggestions of how you can overcome this timing objection* - 15 month deal, paid in new financial year. Longer deal, payment terms to work for buyer. Can go to 12 month if 15 is an issue, but 15 prevents it needing to be budgeted for renewal in Jan'25. - 3+12 deal, paid pilot now that rolls into annual deal automatically. Pay 3 months now from some remaining pot, budget for 12 months in April with comfort of value/vendor choice. - Monthly rolling agreement, even if not normally offered, starting monthly rolling with minimum commitment. Opportunity to upgrade to annual at a point of expansion or price increases when appropriate. - In extreme circumstances, a 3 month pilot can be paid in April (post rather than pre). Navigates if required, we have zero budget today but want to do this. *Appreciate that smaller companies and more internal influence can affect the autonomy to some of these options. All of these benefit from assuring the problem is real and compelling to solve, and is preferable to solve today not April, just needing to navigate financial budgets. Any creative ideas you'd add?
