Environmental and Aerial Consulting | Management | Regulations Expert | Driving Project Success with Innovation & Expertise
Everyone has a story. Sometimes stories shared online is a small piece of the bigger story of a person's life. I haven't shared my story in Energy, its a long one, but I wanted to share the "long story short version". When I entered the industry (the guy in the photo below) 16 years ago, I was completely lost. I was still deciding on whether Law School was in the picture while trying to figure out everything associated with environmental compliance to be of value to my team. I knew a little bit about permitting, a few things about E&S, and very little about construction. The biggest roadblocks were: Training was not great. Mentorship was nonexistent. So, I searched and found materials to enhance my knowledge. Later, I bumped into a few people that shared their experiences and were able to explain concepts that were out of my grasp. Years go by, I earn certifications and go back to school to take Engineering and Mathematics courses. My experiences grow and my knowledge expands. Today, I try to be the puzzle piece to help others succeed in the industry. ------ On March 24, I will be providing tools and resources to help your foundation in environmental compliance. From the basics to advanced concepts in Erosion and Sediment Control, I'll give you the tools and resources to expand your career. Afterwards, I'll connect you with the list of resources to start, revitalize, or catapult your career. Here's the link: https://lnkd.in/eyRSRwTV

🏅 Top Corporate Sustainability & Environmental Engineering Voice | Head of Sustainability & ESG at SGS India | Author & Writer | Speaker & Moderator
💡 A year or two ago I had mentioned about how much my work while addressing several aspects of what I learnt for 6 years of formal education, still missed certain elements of environmental engineering. Ever since, it’s been an endeavour to go back and brush up, upgrade and share whatever and wherever I can.. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m fully aware of the vanity and impermanence associated with badges and while my work would continue regardless of the same, it’s heartening to be recognised for contributing to something I’ve been truly interested and passionate about.. 💡 Top Environmental Engineering Voice 💡 Top Corporate Sustainability Voice Thanks to everyone who has been supporting and reacting positively to the contributions 🙏🏻🌸 #corporatesustainability #environmentalengineering

Environmental, Architect Consultant, Innovator of investment projects, and Environmental Urban Development
You're an environmental consultant. How do you make sure your clients are satisfied with your work? This question has been raised by a colleague on the site for a long time, and I have only just answered it now. The question is ambiguous and imprecise, as it did not specify the type of client: whether it is a governmental entity, a scientific organization, a community, a company, or an investor. It also did not specify the nature and type of the required work, and environmental tasks are numerous, diverse, and intertwined. Nevertheless, I will mention some examples that could serve as a guide for providing an appropriate answer to the questioner: In a project aimed at preparing a consultancy and executive study for the development of a medical and hazardous waste management system, the clients were: the donor agency (which seeks the lowest possible cost), the governmental authority supervising the project (which seeks the best system applicable to all hospitals in the country), and the hospital management (which desires the latest equipment and the best system for collection, treatment, disposal, and highest safety standards, along with a specialized team to manage the hospital's environmental system). In another task involving the preparation of an environmental impact assessment study (E.I.A) for the construction of a large factory, the client was a major investor. What satisfies and is expected by the investor is to clearly understand the net profits upon project implementation and to avoid hefty expenses for mitigating the negative impacts of the project. Additionally, the investor is concerned with ensuring that the study is convincing and acceptable to the official authorities granting permits, as well as to the project's financiers. Moreover, it is crucial for the project to gain social acceptance in the location where it will be implemented, to avoid the complication of relocating an already owned site. Consultancy work in the environmental field is diverse and complex, with consultants often facing various and dissimilar tasks.

Ensuring the procurement of services follows a hiring-like process is crucial. Service providers should be interviewed and given the opportunity to showcase their expertise and offerings. Unfortunately, many companies tend to prioritize selecting the lowest bidder, which often leads to compromised quality of work. This challenge is also prevalent in environmental consulting, where companies opt for the cheapest option and end up spending more money and wasting valuable time justifying their mistake. To avoid such pitfalls, it is essential to work with a competent environmental consultant. They can provide cost-saving recommendations, improve efficiency through best practices, and help develop systems to ensure compliance with environmental laws. Environmental clearance is a vital step in any project, and investing in the right expertise is crucial. It would be beneficial to know what steps your company is taking to ensure it collaborates with reliable service providers. #consulting #quality #environmental #project
