This event was truly an inspiring moment thanks to Silvia Henry, Guillaume Boilot, Cyrielle Hanser-Gillet & Whitney Toyloy who shared their diverse experiences around the power of mentoring and self-confidence with vulnerability, kindness and authenticity. The celebration ended with an entertaining networking session for the 80 participants of the different Maisons. #WomenCrushWednesday: Turning Words into Action for Inclusion in the Experiential Marketing Industry Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of being a guest speaker at the EXMAN WIE programme, where I spoke on the topic of Inspire Inclusion. One of the key takeaways from my talk was the need to shift our focus from talking about inclusion to taking concrete actions. For Women in Experiential (WIE), it's time to roll up our sleeves and make tangible changes to inspire inclusion. We've spent enough time discussing, debating, & strategizing. Now, it's time to accelerate real progress in our industry. During my talk, I highlighted several areas where we can make a difference & do more: Establish formal mentorship programs within Women in Experiential. Pairing experienced professionals with newcomers can provide invaluable guidance & support. Sponsors can play important role by providing opportunities for growth, visibility, & development, helping women overcome barriers & achieve their professional goals. Actively seek out & promote diverse voices in leadership roles. This ensures that different perspectives are heard & valued within WIE, leading to more inclusive decision-making. It's important to encourage open dialogue about inclusion & diversity. By creating safe spaces, both female & male members feel comfortable sharing their experiences, challenges, & ideas, fostering a culture of inclusivity. Providing training workshops & skill-building sessions focused on diversity, equity, & inclusion empowers members to become advocates for change within their own spheres of influence. We should recognize & celebrate the achievements of women from diverse backgrounds within the Experiential Marketing industry. Highlighting success stories inspires others & reinforces the value of inclusion. Collaborate with external organizations beyond experiential, such as media, creative, client, & government sectors, we can leverage their expertise & resources to amplify our efforts and drive meaningful change. To ensure progress is being made, it's necessary to establish metrics & regularly assess our practices, policies, & outcomes. This holds us accountable & guides us towards creating a truly inclusive environment. Involvement of male allies is essential in creating a more inclusive environment within WIE. Inclusion efforts are more effective when everyone, regardless of gender, actively supports & advocates for diversity. To achieve success in our inclusion initiatives, WIE need the support of EXMAN leadership, continuous communication, teamwork, & a commitment to measuring progress. The EXMAN WIE programme was a success - old associates & friends connected, reminiscing about the good old days & fostering camaraderie for the future. It's time for us to make a difference, take action, & inspire inclusion in the Experiential Marketing industry. I don't know which Brand/Business needs to hear this (ngl a lot of you need to hear this) If your team has no diversity, you cannot say that diversity and inclusivity are important to your Brand/Business. For a brand/business to be diverse and inclusive the work must start internally. Using minority groups to market your brand, while not representing them in your internal team, is not inclusive. Stop using inclusivity as a marketing ploy and actually make the effort.
