From workplace stress to societal pressures, women face unique #mentalhealth challenges exacerbated by social determinants like poverty, unemployment, and sexism. In fact, did you know: ➡️ A recent survey of large U.S. employers found women of color and LGBTQ+ employees have the highest share of unmet basic needs. ➡️ Black, Latino, LGBTQIA+ and younger individuals have reported leaving their employer for better benefits that address their needs. ➡️ The poverty rate for women aged 18 to 64 is 14.2%, compared to 10.5% for men. ➡️ About 1 in 3 women have experienced sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner. ➡️ Around 65% of caregivers are women, and female caregivers spend as much as 50% more time providing care than male caregivers. #womenshealthweek Sources: McKinsey & Company, American Psychiatric Association
Thank you so much for shedding light to the nuances women face regarding mental health. This was a very interesting read.
huh. Women in this society are the Givers, while the feminine energy is about the Receiving. See?...
A reminder that these challenges exist for EVERY WOMAN at some point in their lives.
You never know. Good post.

3w“Female”? I appreciate the sentiment here but that’s an odd word to use. I mean, ‘female’ is a term for the sex capable of producing offspring - in any species. Why not use ‘woman’? It’s interesting that we don’t really use ‘male’ in this way - we say man. Also, not all women are biologically female, and the conflation of "female" to "woman" erases gender-nonconforming people and members of the trans community. That’s damaging to mental health and wellbeing. 💗
