The first part of Q2 already explains Q1. There is no need to add the second part just to sound more artistic and less materialistic. Q1: "They ended the year with 44.12 million paid subscribers, a 15.3% year-on-year growth from the end of 2022...Their overall revenue from music services grew by 17.6% to RMB 4.4 billion – roughly $621.1 million." Q2: "NetEase put it down to 'monetization momentum from our core online music business and our optimized operating efficiency and cost structure.' They add: 'We continually engage our community to have more music-inspired connections and strengthen the bonds within our community.'" https://lnkd.in/gwRvfMf2

Commercial Director - GreenRoomStudios & Studio Se7en | Voiceover, Vocalist, Multi-Instumentalist | ECA @ SCAS and RESCUE ACCT | Chairman of Hailey Parish Council and Father of 7..
It's great to see these discussions taking place. Many say 'we couldn't possibly', very quickly forgetting the 'Eat out to help out' VAT scheme for restaurants during Covid. Unfortunately, we are stuck with a flaccid, lazy Government and one real solution is to get rid of them and have the discussion with the incoming replacements... if only we had that option. The margin between loss, break-even and profit can be as simple as 2 additional ticket sales who also buy a couple of drinks but every little bit of help will make a massive difference. We built Studio Se7en based on a business plan from data gathered between 2019 and 2022 and since then Quantitative Tightening and the costs of living crisis has meant that everyone has much less disposable income. This is a massive factor which isn't getting mentioned in the press. Massive corporations and financial institutions are syphoning money out of the system. The rich are getting Richer and the poverty line is rising for many.
Data supports that attendance at grassroots music venues has been at an all time high over the last year or so. The demand from communities is there, and venues are going above and beyond to get people in each week, but the goalposts to stay in business keep moving. That's why we fight on a few different fronts - a VAT cut on tickets being just one of them. The easier it becomes to produce music, the harder it becomes to make a living creating music. 😑 With the rise of digital audio workstations and other music software, it has become easier than ever for anyone to create and distribute their music. While this democratization of music production is a positive development in many ways, it has also led to a crowded market where it can be difficult for new artists to gain a foothold and build an audience. So what can we do? Easy, connect, chat, and support your favorite up-and-coming artists on QP. Boom! Problem solved. If you are a musician, if no one else can help, and if you can find John Moran....maybe we can help. #socialaccess #supportartists #musicians #gettingpaid #creatoreconomy #musicproduction

Crafting music for success in the commercial realm, especially for TV or film, is about delivering a product that serves a specific purpose. It's not merely about personal artistry or creativity; it's about making your music serviceable, relevant, and emotionally impactful for a potential client. Whether it's for: ✅ Enhancing a scene's emotional tone ✅ Intensifying a conversation ✅ Enticing a purchase Your track should induce a significant emotional response. If your music ticks these boxes, you increase your chances of securing placements, sync fees, potential royalties, and getting the placement you desire. Negotiating for music releases.... This is something that happens all across the board of music, film, entertainment. So you want to be known and know these types of things especially new artists coming into the music industry. In order to understand the way it works for music you have to understand what ways you can reach an agreement for anything in particular you do... You have to remember your time expertise influence Can be looked at in different ways and also hold value in different ways and it may be more beneficial for you to NOT have a fee and just qsplit everything all the way down. Whatever works for you and THEN every other party is how it works best for everyone. This is where 4 different types of negotiations come into play with music and you may want to look into the best suitable agreement and then unleash the fury of music! Fee Buyout Split Residuals... Advance No fee‼️ These are some very important things you want to understand. Hit that 🔔 and stay tuned! #business #musicindustry #artists #negotiating

The "Event Planner's Advocate" when buying & producing Celebrity Entertainment for corporate events nationwide | CEO Celebrity Direct | Music Industry Leader
Students frequently ask me how I know so many details about the history of the concert music business. (I'm teaching at the Frost School of Music UM this semester in the Live Entertainment Master's program the very extensive course, Concert Tour Management.) Well I have to admit, I am currently re-reading Ticket Masters - The Rise of The Concert Industry and How The Public Got Scalped. This is a book for music business people to geek-out on. If you are a music business nerd, as I sometimes am, this is one of the few books I revisit from time to time and always gain new perspective as to how the concert business has arrived to where we are today. Although the book is not a light read by the beach, it is an in-depth look at the key players, the artists, the promoters, and the opportunists that have shaped the live music business world in which music fans live. #musicbusiness ~ Comment please. Especially if you have read it.
