NBC News' Zinhle E. visited our West Village store and sat down with our founder, Julia O'Mara, for an inside look at the fast-growing world of peer-to-peer clothing rental through Pickle. She went behind the scenes to see it come to life with our community, visiting Ellen’s apartment where she’s built a thriving side hustle renting out items from her closet, and tagging along with Blake as she picks up the dress she rented for her birthday. A big thank you to Zinhle and the rest of the NBC crew for spending the day with us, and to our community who opened their personal doors to the world of Pickle (Pickle closets: @blakeevinn and @ellen)! https://lnkd.in/eNscUMJd

#Rings have become a widespread trend in #mensfashion for #GenZ. For “ring guys,” this style can say a lot—while historically signifying a “tough” look for rock stars and bikers, it now represents more of an #individuality in their #style. Men’s fashion at large has been incorporating more feminine elements like lace shirts, slim loafers, crop tops, and pearl necklaces—but paired with the chunky, stacked rings make a diverging trend that presents a more #edgy and bold aesthetic. Scott Santiago, brand manager at Grailed, explains “as time has gone on, designer labels have just mattered a lot less, and it’s more about how #eclectic or how loud your actual outfit is,” explaining why men’s fashion is elevating and shifting in these ways.

Creative & Social Content specialist Ex Social Marketing at Curvy Kate | Ex Creative Gymshark | First Class Fashion Buying & Marketing Graduate
Absolutely loved working on this catwalk event with such a great team, even a year later it still feels like we created something revolutionary for the fuller bust community 👏🏽 From a creative standpoint, really important lessons were learnt during this process too, key ones being: 🌟 Trust your vision and work tirelessly to bring it to life. I feel very lucky to work alongside Katie Weir, conceptualising was a dream as we both shared the same vision for the catwalk. If you are in a position where you need to get buy in from managers etc. be thorough with what you’re setting out to achieve, don’t leave a stone unturned ⬇️ 🌟 The little details matter. The gold foiled invites, the laser cut pumpkin decor, the celestial themed catering, the individual styling of each model… doesn’t matter right? Except the small details, build the whole picture and set the tone for the evening. Plus if you’re gonna do it, you might as well go all in! ⬇️ 🌟 Problems will arise, but it’s how swiftly you overcome them that matters. As they say ✨the show goes on ✨ working on sets and catwalks really teaches you to think on your feet and make it work regardless. ⬇️ 🌟Finally, as above, the words “can’t” & “won’t” used before the word work do not exist to myself & Katie Weir 🚫 📣 Advice to young creatives, when working on big projects no job is too small, chip in to make the magic happen whether you’re serving h'ordeuvres, capturing bts, styling, decorating or curating, collaboration is key!

One year ago we created a dream Scantilly catwalk show… we wanted to match the energy, diversity and inclusion of SavageXFenty but level up with lingerie which fits the models to perfection from DD-J cup 🕛 ✨ After Hours was a night to remember, one which revolutionised the fuller bust industry bringing empowerment, dance, pole dancing, drag and models of all sizes together under the arches of Kachette 💥💃 There is something so magical about working with a luxury fuller bust brand, the product is like gold dust and it just brings joy and sass to all of its wearers! Leah Giles was a dream partner in success when creating this event, she had all the little details down to a tee. I’ll never forget the graft the entire team put in to create an iconic moment 💥Time to feel fierce 🪩
Scantilly by Curvy Kate on Instagram: "1 whole year ago today we created the revolutionary After Hours catwalk show 💥 This is your reminder to wear the sultry lingerie, celebrate sexy, feel confident and OWN it every day. From concept to creation, the After Hours catwalk was crafted to empower you 💥 How do you own your Scantilly sets? Clothing optional…"

Allbirds took off like a rocket with their comfy and eco-friendly shoes; but somewhere along the way they veered off course — getting tangled up in lackluster launches like wool legging. Now they're learning the hard way that hubris and an absent focus can lead to a crash landing. Can Allbirds still rise up from the ashes like a modern-day phoenix? Let's talk it through. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/giBMf4rD #FashionIndustry #Clothing #ShoppingAndTheRetailIndustry

I'm a Closet Coach! I help women to curate a wardrobe she loves through Life Coaching and Organizational Services.
What if you finally crossed your closet off your list? What if you had it all figured out? What if you didn’t waste one ounce of energy getting dressed? Most of us fill our closets thinking we need as many options as possible. But as long as you have the right clothing, you don't really need that much. Once you strip your closet of what you don’t love, don’t wear, and don’t fit into anymore, you can start curating a wardrobe you love! If your answer is no to any of those questions, then do yourself and the local thrift store a favor and get rid of it. Life’s too short, and closets are too small to keep holding on to clothes you can't wear. I’m a Closet Coach and I can help you get to where you want to be! #nestpretty #closetcoach #lifecoachingforwomen #closetcoaching #editeditedit #closetdeclutter #lifecoach

Rule of 5 Queen! Big hand to Rachel Arthur who survived a year of stage moments, new motherhood and a month in Bali whilst only buying 5 new fashion items this year. It was Rachel who originally drew attention to the Hot or Cool Institute report that identified the only way fashion was going to stick to its 2030 warming targets is if we all radically cut our consumption - and the industry cuts its production. Rachel has written about her journey this year for the #ruleof5 Substack page. Briefly, Here are the seven things she learned: 1. Stop and think. If I could only buy 5, I needed to first truly consider them, and second wait even longer to see if I still wanted them. 2. Raid your friends' wardrobes. I had a head start in that Radio 4's Emma Barnett is my bff. I made sure I loaned back though. 3. Swap. With a magpie friend in tow, I walked away from Selfridges LOANHOOD swap shop with Reformation skirt, Ganni A/S blouse and Paul Smith jumper for my other half. 4. Get a sewing machine. It was my birthday present and I really enjoy sewing. Big plans for 2024... 5. Buy 5. I really enjoyed planning and shopping for everything this year and have worn all on repeat. 6. Don't be rash. I messed up. I bought a sundress in a panic online that didn't work and it was the worst purchase all year. 7. Rent. I stepped up rental for work and regular outings. The best thing is you can be way more courageous with your choices! "Quite honestly, #ruleof5 has changed my attitude to fashion and shopping forever." Follow the link below to read more about Rachel's journey. If you're thinking about doing this yourself in 2024, you can also subscribe there to a free resource of tips, tricks, inspiration and encouragement. I hope you'll join us! #ruleof5 Rachel Arthur Lewis Akenji Hot or Cool Institute https://lnkd.in/esacmSkC
