We are delighted to share that Jennifer Larson, the U.S. Consul General of Hyderabad, visited our one-of-a-kind cafe 'Hope In a Cup' in Madhapur, Hyderabad on June 5, 2024. This cafe is proudly run by LGBTQI+ beneficiaries of Nirmaan’s LGBTQI+ Skilling and Entrepreneurship Development Program. Ms. Larson was inspired by our initiative to promote inclusivity and engaged with our LGBTQI+ beneficiaries, congratulating each individual involved. She experienced the program’s impact firsthand, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of our cafe while savoring delightful snacks and drinks. Ms. Larson was impressed by how U.S. and Indian companies use CSR funds to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion and employment opportunities. We discussed the importance of supporting more entrepreneurial endeavors by LGBTQI+ communities in the future.
