When we started Taste of Immokalee 9 years ago, most people thought that giving students so much autonomy in operating a company was a crazy concept. However, we always knew that this hands on model of teaching was the best way for students to learn and grasp concepts that are taught in books. Fast forward today, this model of teaching is being used in different sectors and has been proven to be one of the most effective methods of teaching students foundational soft skills. Summer Internship Positions available via Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture Positions for the 2023 Arts Internship program are now live. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, interns will be able to work from June 1, 2023 - March 1, 2024 depending on the needs of the organization. Every organization sets its own start & end dates, hours worked per week as well as on-site versus remote work parameters, so prospective interns are strongly encouraged to inquire about these details with the organization. Who is Eligible for the LA County Arts Internship Program? 2023 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. As VM puts together its first official internship for the summer, we've thoughtfully crafted a program that allows the student to learn and grow, not just do tasks. The music industry can be a chaotic and get-it-done type environment, but it's still important to consider the growth of every employee, no matter the level.
