Don't Make Yourself a Target 🚫 It's troubling that in our society, Young people- especially creatives and entrepreneurs are often targets based on their fashion or lifestyle choices even by law enforcement. This isn't just a local concern, it transcends boundaries, impacting how people are judged based on superficial attributes. It is sad that this is an actual concern because we should be judged beyond race, skin color, and lifestyle. Unfortunately, that’s not the reality so, what do you do? At #Google #DevFest 2023, this question was raised. Knowing and defending your rights was suggested, however considering our unique system I contributed this to the conversation. Proverbs 27:12 paints a parallel. In a different context, this is the reason why the wealthy would go through a big deal not to disclose their actual wealth. As the festive season approaches, these challenges become more pronounced. It's crucial to exercise caution and wisdom to avoid drawing unnecessary attention as we work toward a fairer system and future. #joshuaogbonnia #socialjustice #awareness
