I don't wear makeup. Never have, never will.
Nothing against it, there are just other things I like to spend my time and money on...like tattoos...can you tell 😂
Not conforming to mainstream or expected beauty standards doesn't make me any less capable or fabulous at what I do (and I am fabulous at what I do).
I don't:
💄Wear makeup
💅🏻 Do my nails
👻 Hide my tattoos
👠 Own a pair of heels
👔 Dress "business casual"
I do:
🎯 Develop strong relationships with my clients
🔨Build rapport and network like a BO$$
🔦Ensure my skills shine despite what I look like
💜 Show up every single day as my authentic self
🚀get. $#!%. done.
I made a commitment after getting fired for having visible tattoos and my pronouns in my email signature that I will no longer hide who I am at work, and I will not work for anyone who wants me to fit a certain mold.
What are some of your non negotiables at work??
✨I acknowledge that professionalism is a concept rooted in white supremacy, and I am privileged to be able to show up at work authentically with minimal repercussions.✨
