They could have experienced a staggering 6.4% YOY growth! 🚀 Breaking down the numbers: 🚛 Transport:  Owing to a surge in global truck & trailer demand, especially from North America & Asia Pacific Africa, transport sales rocketed by 13%, reaching €263 million. Though Europe saw a slight dip, Romy provided a reassuring context. 🌾 Agriculture:  North America & Europe faced some setbacks in specific segments, yet the transport sector emerged as the beacon of hope, showcasing the company's diverse strengths. Global Dynamics: 🌍 Europe & North America navigated minor contractions, but the Asia Pacific Africa region truly dazzled, boasting a 36% growth spurt. Intriguingly, this could've surged to 50% barring external influences. Along with China's commendable rebound, areas like India, the Pacific, and South Africa were driving this growth. Romy's confidence was noticeable as she spoke about profitability. Amidst regional sales nuances, Jost Werke AG amplified its profitability. The result? We have just published our Q3 2023 results: The busiest quarter of the year was characterised by strong growth and profitability. We carried 3 million passengers and had a passenger load factor of 81 per cent. Our revenue grew by 13.7 per cent year-on-year to 817 million euros. Our comparable operating profit was 94 million euros, equaling a comparable EBIT margin of 11.5 per cent. This was the fifth consecutive quarter with a positive comparable EBIT driven by continued revenue optimisation and cost efficiency as per our strategy. Blade’s record Q2 revenues ‘show the plan is working’ BLADE’s record second-quarter (Q2) revenues of $61m, up over 70% on the same period last year, “illustrates the value proposition” of its business model, said CEO Rob Wiesenthal. Total Q2 revenue increased 71.2% to $61m compared with $35.6m in the prior year period. Flight profit increased 102.9% to $10.4m versus $5.1m in the prior year period, driven in part by strong growth in Blade’s organ transport business. MediMobility Organ Transport revenue increased 99.4% to $34.4m in Q2. Flight margin also improved to 17% in Q2 up from 14.3% in Q2 2022. Also, largely because of the Blade Europe acquisition, short distance revenue increased 75% to $19.2m. Net loss was $12.2m in the quarter versus a net income of $8.4m in the prior year period. This has largely been driven by a change in the fair value of warrant liabilities of minus $2.5m, compared with a change of $19.3m in the prior year period. Will Heyburn, Blade’s chief financial officer, said: “Blade delivered significant year over year improvement in adjusted EBITDA this quarter, driven by 172% growth in medical segment adjusted EBITDA and cost savings across our corporate platform. Our cost-efficiency programme is showing meaningful results with adjusted unallocated corporate expenses, which relate to the overall Melissa Tomkiel, Blade’s president, added: “The FAA’s blueprint for air mobility, released in July, outlines a gradual transition to Electric Vertical Aircraft, or EVA, utilising existing air traffic control systems and infrastructure.
