How can child empowerment nurture the next generation of leaders and changemakers? New publication "What does child empowerment mean today?" launched today, with opening remarks from Secretary-General Mathias Cormann and Director for Education and Skills, Andreas Schleicher. Developing digital skills is a key part of child empowerment, to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a world where proficiency in technology is a prerequisite for many careers. Digital devices and media engagement pose potential risks on children, ranging from cyberbullying to exposure to dis and misinformation.
