How can child empowerment nurture the next generation of leaders and changemakers? New publication "What does child empowerment mean today?" launched today, with opening remarks from Secretary-General Mathias Cormann and Director for Education and Skills, Andreas Schleicher. Developing digital skills is a key part of child empowerment, to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a world where proficiency in technology is a prerequisite for many careers. Digital devices and media engagement pose potential risks on children, ranging from cyberbullying to exposure to dis and misinformation. To thrive in an increasingly digitalised world, students need to be taught how to explore diverse perspectives, conduct research, and critically evaluate the credibility and reliability of online information. ➡️ https://brnw.ch/21wJNt5 | #ChildEmpowerment

📸 Capturing a Moment of Empowerment 🌟 Recently, I had the privilege of visiting a school in one of the most challenging areas, where bright smiles and hopeful eyes welcomed me. As I stood amidst a group of small children, their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge filled the air. This photo captures a powerful moment, a reminder of the importance of education and the potential it holds for these young minds. Education has always been a driving force in my life, and I firmly believe that we, as educated individuals, have a responsibility to uplift those who are less fortunate. It is not enough to simply acknowledge the disparity in access to education; we must take action to bridge this gap. In this photo, I am conducting an awareness session, sharing my own experiences and knowledge with these incredible children. I believe that by meeting them, listening to their stories, and paving the best path for their education, we can make a significant difference in their lives. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Let us be the reason why every child has access to quality education. Let us inspire them, ignite their curiosity, and empower them to dream big. Through our collective efforts, we can create a society where every child thrives, regardless of their circumstances. Join me in spreading awareness and advocating for education. Raise your voice, and let the world know that we stand united in our commitment to eradicating illiteracy. Together, we can pave the way for a better tomorrow, one filled with educated minds and endless possibilities. #EducationForAll #Empowerment #BridgingTheGap #BrighterFuture #ShareKnowledge

The Importance of Early Identification & Intervention for Students. In the realm of higher education, proactive measures can make all the difference! As educators and stakeholders, it is vital to understand that every student's journey is unique. That's why early identification and intervention can be pivotal in ensuring their success. Early Identification: Identifying students at risk involves timely and accurate observation, data analysis, and a holistic understanding of their academic and emotional needs. Whether it's struggling with coursework, showing signs of disengagement, or facing personal challenges, early detection empowers you to take timely action. Intervention: Intervention is not merely about addressing any potential academic deficiencies but also about providing the necessary support systems. It's about fostering a culture of empathy, understanding, and inclusivity. From tailored educational programmes to counselling services, interventions can reshape students' trajectories and instil confidence in their abilities. Why does it matter? Early identification and intervention prevents Academic Fallout: By addressing issues proactively, we can eliminate academic setbacks and keep students on track to achieving their full potential. Nurtures Holistic Development: It's not just about grades; it's about nurturing the whole individual. Early interventions lay the foundation for emotional well-being, resilience, and lifelong learning. Builds Stronger Communities: By prioritising early identification and intervention, we create inclusive environments where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Learning about social justice, education, and technology is important because it helps foster an inclusive and equitable learning environment. Understanding social justice allows teachers to address systemic inequalities and promote fairness in education. Incorporating technology enhances learning experiences and prepares students for the digital world. As a future teacher, I can integrate these concepts by selecting diverse and inclusive learning materials, encouraging discussions on social issues, promoting digital literacy skills, and utilizing technology to amplify marginalized voices. Additionally, I can create collaborative projects that involve research, critical analysis, and digital storytelling to empower students to advocate for social justice causes. #EDLT3110_SU23_R7

quality education should be limited only to The wealthy. hold on, let's argue this quality education for all individuals requires a comprehensive approach. Here are some seven key steps to make this goal a reality: 📍Universal Access: Every person should have equal opportunities to access education, regardless of their gender, socio-economic background, or geographical location. Governments must invest in infrastructure and policies to eliminate barriers to education. 📍focus on educational quality rather than just quantity: Simply having schools is not enough; the education provided must be top-notch. This entails hiring skilled and passionate teachers, implementing modern teaching methods, and utilizing up-to-date resources. By investing in educational quality, students can be prepared for the future's challenges and opportunities. 📍fostering a love for learning: Education should not feel burdensome; instead, it should be an environment where curiosity is encouraged. By creating engaging and enjoyable learning experiences, students can pursue their passions and make education a journey of discovery. When education becomes enjoyable, individuals can unlock their full potential. 📍Relevant Curriculum: Education should be tailored to meet the needs of a changing world. Curricula should incorporate critical thinking, problem-solving, digital literacy, and other 21st-century skills to prepare students for the future job market. 📍Inclusive Education: Promoting inclusive classrooms fosters respect for diversity. Schools must accommodate students with disabilities, provide support for marginalized communities, and embrace multiculturalism. 📍Adequate Resources: Sufficient funding, educational materials, and technology are crucial for quality education. Governments, donors, and private sectors must invest in schools, libraries, and digital infrastructure. 📍Parental and Community Engagement: Active involvement of parents, guardians, and communities enhances educational outcomes. Encouraging participation through workshops, parent-teacher associations, and community partnerships strengthens the education system. 📍Data-Driven Decision Making: Regular assessment and data collection enable policymakers to identify gaps, measure progress, and allocate resources effectively. Evidence-based decision making improves education policies and interventions. By implementing these strategies, societies can strive towards achieving equitable and high-quality education for each and every person. #byupathway #technology #community #education #digital #job #opportunities #future #development #training #quality

They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I can't help but think how spot on this notion applies to our education system. Why is this outdated and archaic mode of teaching still the standard model here? Students need more personalized support and individualized instruction with teachers who are not bogged down by the broken system. We live in a age of innovation and technology... And yet we are stuck. Our students deserve so much better! How do we help them? ✅ We need better curriculum/solutions/support into schools that can help teachers, administrators, and parents really understand the needs of their children. ✅ We need better ways of providing equity and closing learning gaps. ✅ We need to bring in experts like highly qualified educators, psychologists, counselors, security, etc. to ensure that children are actually receiving the best access and supports ✅ We need to provide access to flexible education options and technology that works for families, students, and teachers, etc. Change is necessary if we want there to be growth... And our students deserve adults who advocate for better and brighter futures! I feel like that infomercial in the 90s, "STOP THE INSANITY" But seriously, Help us do something new and different for education! #Equityfor1MillionStudents #BetterEducationOptions #EdTeachSolutions #EducationMatters
