In the note of recession-proof marketing, there is one company that stands out in my mind: Lavender 💜 I've seen them doubling down their marketing investment and putting effort into making their brand stand out. I was part of SaaStr Europa this year, and I heard quite a lot about this brand at conferences and because they threw after-party events 🎉 . Look, clever brands don't mess about. They spot what's working and then hit it hard, putting more resources into successful marketing. Community building is the smartest and hardest way to build a strong brand presence 🔒 . If you know your customers well, you have to be on their minds 🧠 . Like dating, you must buy them a drink, nurture a relationship, and maintain communication. Here's a bit of a secret 🙊 - communities are pretty much recession-proof. So, even in low economic times, nurturing a community will keep your brand presence strong and bring you some real future benefits. ☝ This post is not sponsored just wanted to share some interesting marketing tactics I saw in SaaStr Conference and a shoutout to their team Will and Jen for their efforts #community #marketing #saastreuropa #brand #team
At SaaStr we wear purple 💜 Chelsea Castle 💜 & Sam Schaut getting the word out on the day of our event… Missed it? There’s always next time 😉🤫

COO at Bizly, Strategic Sales, Marketing and Partnerships Exec, Former Amex Exec and Harvard Travel Dir and Financial Analyst, Columbia MBA
Some key takeaways that I jotted down: - "Converging all lodging spend can deliver savings of up to 16%" attributed to HRS on a slide - Travel Managers said the benefits of combining transient and M&E volume were leverage during negotiations and better visibility and control of their programs. Also, many executive admins like to plan meetings and can be reluctant to support preferred suppliers and approved processes. - Hoteliers in the room were open to looking at a customer's full profile and stressed the importance of getting to know customers and building strong relationships. - The value of outsourcing to specialized resources came up several times as well. - Improvements in available data have made combining spend easier over the years. Many thanks to the presenters: Bev Allen, MBA, Kristen Reeves, CCTE, Brendon Duca and moderator Shalini Iyer! Great job! Outstanding session! Yeah, That's me in the Bizly shirt in the front row! Today‘s Living Room Conversations by LIVEsciences with Dr. Taryn Marie Stejskal is one for the books. And it‘s not because I hosted it 🙃😉 It‘s because it was nice to have a heart-centered and life-giving conversation with a friend. 🌟 Taryn recently published her book ”The 5 Practices of Highly Resilient People: Why Some Flourish When Others Fold“ and have been on the radar of Forbes and the like for her deep work and research on the topic of resilience, coupled with her personal experience that makes her a credible source for this topic. 💕 ”Resilience is the essence of being human. It‘s not something we have to strive for, but something that is ingrained within us.“ 💡Some of my key takeaways from this conversation: 👉🏼 We need to re-cast our relationship with challenge, change and complexity 👉🏼 Our experiences form us into the person that we are today and how we respond to the 3C‘s that come along 👉🏼 There is no going back, only bouncing forward 👉🏼 Resilience allows us to recreate a new narrative 💡What are the 5 Practices to Develop Resilience? 👉🏼 Vulnerability 👉🏼 Productive perseverance 👉🏼 Connection (inside and outside) 👉🏼 Gradiosity (Gratitude and Generosity) 👉🏼 Possibility We capped the conversation with these precious words from Taryn: ”We are all, a humans, are both masterpieces and works in progress.“ Lots of reasons why you should watch the replay here, if you missed it: https://lnkd.in/espjmCCR Get a free copy of her ebook ”Your Resilient Life“ which shares a high level version of the 5 practices. Send her a DM on her LinkedIn or Instagram with the text: LIVEsciences. See details on comments below.👇🏼
