Before a group of several hundred students at the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering, MPCA Commissioner Katrina Kessler said studying at the U was the perfect blend of opportunity and challenge. Kessler, who received her MS in environmental engineering (2001) at the U urged graduates to think about “what truly inspires and motivates you.” Perhaps “we share a love for biology, chemistry, physics, or making a difference in people’s lives through our problem-solving,” she told the graduates of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo-Engineering.
