Sometimes fresh eyes and a simple question are all it takes to change the status quo ✨ Mineral CEO Elliott Grant explores the difference between sustaining innovations and disruptive paradigm shifts in agriculture in his latest blog post. Because with advancements in AI happening at an exponential rate, perception systems learning to identify more and more plant species, more accurate actuation options for in common field tasks coming onto the scene, and farms already seeing fully autonomous and all-electric equipment, we can imagine a near future in which farm machinery is smarter and - counterintuitively - smaller 🚜 And together, these technologies will enable a new era for farm operations: Continuous Management. https://lnkd.in/ga-WDJHQ

Why crop rows are straight ? 😏 👉 The organization of sowing could be adapted according to soil resources for example, which would make it possible to more radically optimize water, fertilization, soil work, etc. 👉 Thanks to robots and artificial intelligence it can be child's play but a real technical breakthrough 😉

We love the concept of continuous assessment. We applying it to assessment of grain quality. We are able to do this within harvesting machines. This is so much better than sampling based QC.

Brilliant vision! Thank you! However, the cultivation of cereal and oilseed crops will still require large machinery. Time in this type of business is always the most valuable resource!
