Hey Guys, I have a question regarding an technical concept I had approximately three years ago with a technical person. He asked me, "When I click the like button in Meta, how does the other account receive the notification for that like?" I responded, saying that internally, they likely call an API each time, possibly within a setInterval function. However, he remained unsatisfied with the answer, still seeking to understand the internal workings and concepts behind it. If you have any knowledge on this matter, please feel free to share.#TechnicalQuestion #API #NotificationSystem #WebDevelopment #SoftwareEngineering #Programming #Coding #TechDiscussion #LinkedInCommunity #DeveloperCommunity #AskTheExperts

Day 3 of #100DaysOfCode and #100DaysOfOSS Leveled up my backend dev skills today! Completed the first module of Meta's Backend Development Specialization Course. Taught by Meta staff. Today, I learned extensively about Libraries & Frameworks in software development. Speaking of contributions, I created my first issue for the Chimoney (Techstars ‘23) community website! It's a minor update to the source code in the product section. I included clear steps to reproduce the issue and suggested solutions. Let's make the Chimoney website even better! #programming #opensource #learningandgrowing

In case anyone is wondering why Meta uses Flow instead of #TypeScript, it's because Flow is heavily integrated with the entire tech stack. The frontend, of course, uses #React. To communicate with the backend, it uses #GraphQL. To ensure the type of the objects flowing between the backend and the front are the same, types are generated by the backend framework that uses #Hack. These generated types are written in Flow for the frontend. In short, for Meta to move from Flow to TypeScript, it has to make some heavy modification to how Hack's type system works as well.

Task 1 of 45_questions ==>Assignments Excited to share that I've just written my first lines of code! 🎉✨ After diving into the world of programming, I've successfully crafted my very own "Hello, World!" program. It may seem like a simple start, but for me, it's the beginning of an incredible journey into the realm of coding. 💻✨ Can't wait to learn and grow along this path! 🔥 Exciting Prototype! 🔥 I'm thrilled to share that I've just wrapped up an exhilarating overnight coding sprint, creating a Steam game review analysis tool that harnesses the power of AI! 🚀💻🤖 In just one night, I developed an API and frontend combo in NodeJS + NextJS that accepts Steam game store URLs, fetches game reviews, and leverages AI to generate concise conclusions about the game. This project was an incredible opportunity to showcase the potential of AI-driven development and its ability to supercharge development speed. I'm blown away by the results I was able to achieve and the pace it was done in, and I'm excited to share a video demonstration of this powerful tool in action! Check it out below and let me know what you think.🎮🔍 I look forward to applying AI to my work at PlaySide Studios and helping level us up and keep up with the amazing changes in technology✨ Attached is a video demonstrating it, note that the procession sections after submitting have been sped up as the large amount of text in the reviews takes longer to process #FullStackDeveloper #AI #GameDevelopment #CodeSprint

SafeSpace is finished! As far as functionality goes that is 😅 there's still some code I want to refactor to make it more readable and easier to manage for any future engineers who work on it. But everything else is done! 🙌 Below is a short video of the last few features I needed to add to the project in order to finish it. Here's a list of what those last few features were: 1. A fully functional Tic-Tac-Toe game for the lock screen. 2. A 'Delete all data' button on the home screen to conveniently delete all the data stored within the app. 3. A fully functional Mood Tracker page. 4. An ‘application hide’ feature where if a user has the app unlocked and then leaves, it will reopen to the lock screen if the user comes back to it. 5. Universally shared headers for a more consistent and interactive look. It's hard to believe all that's really left to do is refactor some code 😱 but this has been a long time coming so I'm very excited. Let me know what you all think! I'd love to hear any feedback you may have 😁 #reactnative #coding #SafeSpace #finishingtouches #fullstackdeveloper

Hello #connections I'm thrilled to share that I recently participated in LeetCode's Weekly Contest 369 and successfully solved two challenging problems! 🧠💪 It's an excellent opportunity to put problem-solving skills to the test and stay sharp in the world of algorithms and data structures. 🤓 Here's a brief overview of the problems I conquered: 1️⃣ Find the K-or of an Array : This is a simple problem in we have to use find the count of number having set bit at ith position and if it is greater than or equal to k then take that bit and make the answer. 2️⃣ Minimum Equal Sum of two Array after replacing zeros : In this problem, we have given a two Array nums1 and nums2. We have to make both array sum equal by replacing zero with positive intergers. We have to return minimum equa sum. The approach is that we count the zeros and sum in both array and then easily find the answer by using some conditions. Detailed solution for these two problems given below. I'm always up for a good coding challenge, and I look forward to more contests and learning opportunities in the future. 🌟 Also if you have any questions or any other approaches for these please share it with me💡💻 #LeetCode #weeklyContest #CodingChallenge #ProblemSolving #Algorithm #DataStructures #Programming #NeverStopLearning #LinkedInPost #learning #grow #contest #coding #problem #problemsolving #codingcommunity #easy #medium #learnandgrow #array #suffix #prefix #loops #solutions #biweekly #contest #weekend #constraints #complexity #optimized #code #processors #sum #maximum #greedy #amazon #google #microsoft #netflix #meta
