For the past 13 years, I've spent my working hours at Thread. Where we're more than coworkers, we're friends. We were 6 people when I started and I'm amazed that as we've grown, I still feel that way. I'm thankful today and every day for these awesome humans and the brilliant work we create. https://lnkd.in/guxCnAYP

Interdisciplinary content marketer 🤓🤯 Bringing the best strategies from a variety of industries to your content marketing 💪
This is a shining example of how to manage well, give criticism that is actually effective, and how to uplift your team and your work. And, of course, this is a great lesson brought to you by Brooklin Nash 💡who, if you aren't following already, you probably should. #ContentMarketing #ContentStrategy #ContentManagement
Right person, right role. I started Beam because I wanted to learn: how to nail marketing how to create solid processes how to find and work with talented people how to take what's in my head and get a whole team on the same page We're a year in, and it's an understatement to say I've learned more in this past year than I had hoped to. Chief among them: put the right person in the right role and make your job a whole lot easier. As I was clearing my ClickUp notifications this week, I saw this piece of feedback from our Head of Content. It's pretty much exactly the kind of feedback I would've given, if I had been the one to review the draft. 18 months ago, I was the one writing, editing, and shipping. Now I get to guide our team and trust them to do their thing. That's insane to me. And I'm grateful.

And the magic? It's in how you tell it. So, whether you're a fellow content creator, a business looking to make waves, or just someone who enjoys a good story, I hope these posts ignite a spark. At bringga, our mission goes beyond content. We're here to amplify your message, supercharge your marketing, and be that extra oomph your team needs. Stay curious, stay inspired, and remember - there's always a story waiting to be told. Oh, and before I forget, do check out shop.goodpeople.co.kr. Co-Founder & CEO Barry Island Spirits Co & Craft Republic | Starring in Amazon Prime TV series 'Business As Unusual'
Sometimes there’s nothing like a bit of content creation to make you think! We’re approaching Craft Republic’s 3rd birthday. 3 years ago I was still in my corporate job and spending every spare second planning, working on fitting out & renovating our bar. I remember so many people telling us we were crazy to be giving up our full time, professional careers to go in to something where we had no experience, and so many more people telling us our vision would not work in Barry. 3 years, a global pandemic and a cost of living crisis later and not only is Craft still here but it’s stronger than ever. We’re still a completely debt free business & still 100% independent. We have an amazing team who run our bar with next to no day-to-day involvement from us, we’ve built a strong customer base and pretty much every day I get a message from someone telling us how happy they are that we opened in Barry rather than Cardiff. In a rather unplanned moment (as most of my content production seems to be… the irony of spending 20+ years telling clients about the importance of a content plan and I definitely don’t have one!) I put together this video for TikTok. Going back through the videos and photos gave me a moment of reflection. For all the struggles and tears (of which there have been many) I wouldn’t change a thing. I was 39 when we opened Craft. Neither of us had ever run a business, I’d never worked in hospitality or even pulled a pint before we started work on Craft. We gave up stability and guaranteed salaries to step in to the unknown and I couldn’t be more proud of how Craft has turned out. So if you’re thinking about perusing a dream but worried you don’t have the right experience or that it’s too late, if you have passion, vision and are willing to put in insanely hard work there’s always a way to make it work. #enterpreneur #hospitality #southwales

In the bustling city of Brandville, there was a brand named Puffy Prose. They were known for their verbose content, so complex and buzzword-intense, that it sometimes felt like trying to do a crossword puzzle blindfolded. Their brand message meandered through a forest of flowery language and buzzwords, losing itself more often than a tourist with an upside-down map. ~~~ Is your message clear? Or does jargon and fluff cloud your intent? Share your samples and questions here in the comments, we are happy to help. #digitalmarketing #clarity #fluffy

⭐️ My latest Substack is out! ⭐️ And the results are in .... I surveyed 260+ in editorial and content marketing 👨🏼💻 to get their POV on the job market and what it's like to work in content creation right now. 🧐 What I found: Less editors made the switch to brands this year -- and more were laid off than any other year, including during the pandemic 🤬. But those who pivoted are making a lot more money 💰 and have better work-life balance ⚖️ than they did in traditional editorial. 👉 Learn how they got those jobs, what industries they move to, and other juicy bits this community of creatives is talking about in my Editorial Hiring Report! https://lnkd.in/gwJaC7RC

I met the perfect guy on Instagram. He’s taken, but you can still enjoy his content. This video was the first one I saw (thank you algorithm), and it really moved me. I’ve seen a number of motivational clips, and it’s easy to scroll past them. But, the combination of his story and tone made me pause to read. Sometimes, the odds are stacked against you. When the economy gets tough (or just a sector of it), the competition gets tougher. On top of that, bills and family responsibilities can feel like physical weights, bringing you down like gravity, reminding you that dreams are just fluffy things not meant for you. But if you’re passionate, you don’t always need someone to give you the keys. If you really want something, then find a way to practice. Practice can be costly (which is why resources and connections make a huge difference), but you’ll grow if you keep at it. Practice when you don’t get paid, practice when you don’t get praised. Practice if you don’t know a thing, but want to learn. Practice if you wish you could do it. Don’t wait for an insider to tell you whether you belong, whether you have what it takes. When the timing is right, when the economy improves (or just a sector), you’ll be part of the reason why the competition is so tough. Heck, you might have redefined the game by that point. But even if you do, you'll know that it was never about other people. It was because you love it. Practice because you love it. #practice #contentwriting #leadership #diversityequityinclusion #reflection #motivationmonday #storytelling #writing #layoffs
