After an incredible 9-year journey, our CEO Marten Mickos has announced his retirement. From day one, his vision was clear: building HackerOne into a leader in our industry and a brand respected by all. Thanks to his commitment and the hard work of our team, we've not only met our goals but have positioned ourselves for an even brighter future. With strong leadership across the board and exciting progress in new products, we are ready to welcome change while continuing to lead in this space. I've been working at HackerOne for only 13 months, and I must say that Marten has had a significant impact on me directly. It would be an understatement to say that I was blown away when I first met him. Marten is an exceptional CEO, So much, I have even told my family and friends about him. His passion and drive to succeed are infectious, but what impressed me the most was the way he collaborated. Whenever we needed an introduction to one of his many connections, he made it happen without any issues. Similarly, if we had a question about LinkedIn or anything else, we could always approach him for guidance as he demonstrated that collaboration works best when it's shown at all levels. And let's not forget the lighter side of his leadership - who else could jump right into karaoke with us at RKO in Philadelphia, bringing down the house and showing us all how fun the journey to success can be? 🎤😄 Marten will be CEO until the transition is complete and will continue to guide us from the board, Here's to a new chapter in the HackerOne story. Thank you Marten Mickos ❤️

Are you transitioning out of the military soon? Are you stressed? I’m a Naval officer 👩✈️ , mom of 2 young boys 🙋♀️ and a career-driven individual who has been overwhelmed by the thought of transitioning out of the military. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to participate with the FourBlock Global cohort, which helped develop my personal and professional skills to create meaningful relationships. Three key takeaways: 1. 📝 Transitioning out of the military is tough, but you get to define what a successful transition story looks like. Every individual is different and will have a different idea of what success means. You get to decide what is best and successful for you! 2. 🕸 Utilize your network! Are you interested in a specific role or company? Are you unsure of what you want to do but think someone’s job title sounds interesting? Look at your network to see if someone matches that description. If you don’t have someone in your network, there is a high chance there is a veteran at the company or in the role you’re interested in. I’ve found a plethora of veterans willing to give me 30 minutes of their time to aid in my transition. 3. 🧗♀️ Take your transition in small steps. Your task list may seem overwhelming and could look something like this self-reflect, choose a career, research companies, build a resume, network, and conduct informational interviews. The list could be shorter or longer, but what is important is that you tackle your transition! You will feel more confident about your transition once you get started. 📣 Shout out to Bernard Beaullieu and Gary Guzman for allowing me the opportunity to join FourBlock. 📢 Special thanks to my stellar career coach ✨ Josie Romero-Pala for cheering me on and advising me how to grow professionally, and FourBlock coach Don L. Gleason for challenging me in my transition! Highly recommend Fourblock for any transitioning service member!

It is really Exciting that we have successfully completed Stage 3 of the marketing hackathon - "Finding Channels To Tap Into"! 🚀 During this stage, we focused on creating a Jobs To Be Done Framework for our brand and conducted thorough research on our competitors. We identified the top channels that they are utilizing, as well as the campaigns and elements that have been working exceptionally well for them on those channels. 📊💼 Based on our insightful research, we have compiled a comprehensive list of channels that we believe would be perfect for us to tap into. These channels have immense potential to drive growth and help us reach our target audience effectively. ✨📈 Now comes the exciting part! We have carefully selected the top 3 channels from our list, and we are in the process of creating a robust plan to utilize these channels strategically to fuel our brand's growth. We are confident that this plan will yield remarkable results and take us one step closer to achieving our marketing goals. 💪💼 I want to express my gratitude to the incredible team who worked tirelessly on this stage of the hackathon. 👏🌟 Torsha Ghosh Himanshu Mehta - Speaker, Mentor, CISO, Pentester Ramesh Gupta MBA, FRM, PgMP, SPC Esha Khemka Thank You for being a constant support and checking in on us, be it at 2:00 am! My reflection of the week or "Why you want to be Hawkeye" This week I had the pleasure of facilitating our People Manager Development Programme for Avaloq in #Berlin with my lovely colleague Fiona. Having 20 People Managers in one room was already great. Going through a full day of training with open-minded participants who had in total over 100 years of experience in managing people was even better. One topic that was mentioned at some point by a participant was that as a People Manager you are not a subject matter expert on everything your team scope covers - sometimes you are not even an expert in one of the topics. It is easy to feel "useless" then, especially for managers making there first steps, right? I know there are many angles to this and you will have to find the answer that helps you the most get out of that. My nerdy side can't help but think about an analogy that translates really well to this and I would like to share this with you as #foodforthought : If you were not living under a rock the past 10+ years, you have heard of the #Avengers movies produced by Marvel Studios. If you did live under a rock however, here is a quick recap: The Avengers are a team consisting of humans (and aliens) with super-powers and also members without. They "(...) fight the battles we never could." [Nicholas Joseph Fury] Most of their members have super powers and you have heard of them. The Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Spider Man, etc. And then there is Hawkeye. He is an unbelievably skilled archer and martial artist, tactician, former spy but he is no superhuman at all. He was part of the team from the get go but never the "super star". Now we come to the best part: In the 10+ years of battles these and more characters went through, do you know how many of the fights the Avengers team won with and without Hawkeye fighting at there side? On Reddit, Inc. we find the following stats: "The Avengers are 7 - 0 in battles that include Hawkeye. They are 0-4 in battles either against him or without him." I did not say it in this workshop, but I said it before in my career. If you do not have a Hawkeye in your team, the team loses more than it wins. And if you are one of those managers who regularly finds him*herself thinking "Gee, I am surrounded by people with abilities / knowledge / skills / etc. that I do not have." think about the stat above. Maybe go a step further. How can you help those super-experts win the battles, that they would lose without you? This should be enough nerd-talk for now. 😅 Happy rest of the week to everyone.

Embracing change isn't always easy, but it's a vital part of life's great adventure. And today, I'm thrilled to announce that my journey has taken an exciting new turn! Several months ago, I made a leap of faith. Noticing the stormy clouds gathering over Newchip, I chose not to wait for the ship to sink but to grab a lifevest and swim for stable grounds. In hindsight, my instincts were right. Just two months later, Newchip filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. This transition has been a period of deep introspection, resilience-building, and prioritization. I've been carving out time for my mind, body, and most importantly, my relationships, especially with my wonderful son. I've seen the fruits of my labor as my consulting business has grown, and I've achieved the best physical shape of my life. Each day has been a masterclass in understanding the immeasurable value of time, the power of reflection, and the importance of purpose-driven work. At Newchip, I believed I was contributing to a community that mattered to me. When the reality fell short of my expectations, I acted swiftly, charting my path towards something more fulfilling. As I embark on this next chapter, my mission is clear: to drive others' success, create purposeful experiences for clients, and journey down a path of meaningful self-discovery and growth. So here's to a new adventure, to embracing the unexpected, and to the exhilarating uncertainty of what comes next. And to all reading this, thank you for being part of my journey. If you're ready to pivot, take that leap, or even just take the first step... I'm here, cheering you on! Because if there's one thing I've learned, it's that we're all in this together. #CareerChange #NewBeginnings #LifeLessons #Resilience #Growth
