Recently, Julia Fröhlich and I rolled up our sleeves with the executive team at Lavazza Professional Germany GmbH to dismantle the believe that #DiversityandInclusion is just another corporate must-do task. Complicated, draining, and chock-full of policies some thought. So the challenge we faced was shifting from an “must do”, tiresome exercise to recognizing it as a powerful enabler for a resilient workplace. 👉 Our approach? We fostered deep discussions, unmasked our own biases, uncovered fascinating insights about our own decision-making processes, and co-designed the future of our workplace we want. I'm thrilled to say that in Verden we saw this shift. The General Management team began to view D&I as a journey towards an #agile, #inclusive, and #highperformance environment were open dialogue fuels innovation. And I am especially excited that they took another big step towards this goal by creating the Accelerator Group - a diverse cross level team who are passionate driving their D&I journey. This is just the beginning. D&I is not an overnight transformation or a “trend”. It’s a long-term commitment. A commitment to making the workplace more resilient and adaptable to change, by creating an environment where everyone, despite their differences, can join the ride. In this journey, my role with Pluribus is as a guide, providing evidence-based insights and practical tools, while the Lavazza Pro employees – as the true experts of their workplace - steers their own course towards a more inclusive and colorful future. Last week I had the pleasure to participate with the global and APAC finance and operation community of Groupe Clarins. Together we discussed and aligned how embracing change can help us pivot and play full out in serving our internal (and external) stakeholders. Let’s keep going with our world tour of initiatives happening at Virbac! Up today, our Brazilian subsidiary, lead by LARAICHI Mehdi supported by Ana Godoy as HR Director! I want to highlight two really great initiatives, both centered on people, exchanges between colleagues, and bringing teams together.   First, the “Town Hall” — a quarterly communications meeting launched in 2019, which brings together all the subsidiary’s teams (even during the pandemic!) It’s an in-person event for office based people and a virtual one for on-the-ground colleagues. Each time, it’s a meaningful moment to exchange about achivements, quarterly results, challanges and also a moment to give recognition to some collegues for their exceptional contibution. We are very proud to say that we have 100% of attendance!!! The second initiative is more recent, and only started last month! It’s Virbac Brunch! This new monthly brunch among office based teams follows the hybrid model our Brazilian subsidiary put in place in early September, and the aim of it is pretty clear: to meet each other! Being together, meeting in person…both are central to Virbac’s company culture. These two wonderful initiatives are going to produce real results by helping our teams stay grounded, fell good working together, and for cultivating individual well being, self-confidence, and performance.

Each team has a different level of maturity in a transformation. For this reason, team development in a transformation is best carried out individually for each team. To avoid working in silos, interface workshops are recommended - and of course a lot of collaboration on all levels. Individual - especially cultural - issues should be addressed together (i.e., across functions and hierarchies) during the transformation. Seizing the bountiful harvest of experience will always remain timely. Here’s an annual recap of my journey that began with DKSH in August 2022. Coming from a background in the B2B industry to the dynamic realm of FMCG, this new chapter has been a thrilling roller coaster ride. DKSH, a distinguished Swiss distribution company, has long cultivated its expertise in Malaysia. My role in DKSH is as a local market brand advisor, planner, and key coordinator of selected international brands, with Tiger Balm Malaysia being my key portfolio. In these 17 months, we have launched 1 NPD within 3 months, participated in 2 marathons, sponsored more than 5 organizations, ran 20 online campaigns, participated in 5 roadshows, advertised on billboards, television, and radio, changed 3 country managers, created more than 500 pieces of artwork design, pitched at least 10 new creative ideas, applied for 57 government applications for advertisement. What have I learned in these 17 months: 1. Stay humble but hold onto principles. The Chinese saying, “there is always a mountain after another,” emphasizes the importance of humility. Humility includes recognizing your limitations, listening to others, learning from mistakes, showing gratitude, and continuously improving. 2. The client is not always correct. Don’t behave as a “yes man” even in the service industry. I uphold the principle of serving the company and industry, not any individual. Regardless of the industry, campaigns should not be run just for the sake of it. 3. Communication is key in every relationship. This includes communication within the organization, towards principles, vendors, and any external parties. When either party refuses to communicate, expectations can’t be aligned, where leading to misunderstandings and conflicts. 4. Learn to swim in the rain as long as it doesn’t kill you. Complaints, toxic environments, and poor culture happen in almost every organization as long as you are working with humans. It's important to realize that it's not about what a company can do for you but what you can do for yourself, and contribute to the organisation. When you recognize issues, don't think of running away but learn to fix them. The above are based on my own experiences shared on LinkedIn.
