Meet Benjamin D., Training and Engagement Specialist, L'OCCITANE Germany – and our newest DE&I Ambassador... “In my role, I support, structure, and plan the training and development of our employees in the Düsseldorf office. I also generally make myself available to my colleagues as a sympathetic sounding board. “Germany is an exciting country in terms of DE&I, as Germans are known for their attention to detail. We think critically, seek to understand things, and love our traditions. As a country with high immigration rates, we have a very multicultural, colourful, and open society – and we’re proud of that. “I try to learn a little about DE&I every day. Be it via social media or in person, I relish exchanging ideas with friends, colleagues, and people around me. “In general, I believe that to promote real acceptance and inclusion, one must meet people where they are, allowing for personal exchanges and space for questions (yes, even the critical ones!).” #DEI #DiversityEquityInclusion #LOCCITANEGroup #BCorp

🚀“Global talents bring value, knowledge, and growth to Danish companies (…) International employees create value and growth that benefits not only Danish companies, but also the Danish society. With a shortage of qualified labour, international recruitment is worth considering for all companies regardless of size with ambitions to grow in the coming years.”*🚀 We fully support this statement by DI - Dansk Industri but also consider ourselves the lucky ones to welcome all the expats and their accompanying families to Odense. Making an impact by helping the local companies retain their employees along with minimizing some of the cultural and social barriers they face with hands-on guidance and advocacy is what we sign up for. We never tire of our efforts because we’re passionate and committed to helping Odense’s companies and the internationals they hire. 📅Like many of them we’re taking a few weeks off to enjoy the summer, but we’ll be back full force August 7 where we'll continue our work. Have a great summer or as we say in Danish “God sommer”☀ *Source: https://lnkd.in/eTk3PqHY #internationalcommunityodense #internationals #internationalsinodense #expatlife #expatinodense

Last week, our Head of Business Development António Barradas came all the way from Portugal and visited our headquarters in Copenhagen. We asked him about his visit, read and enjoy⭐ 🔵 How was it for you to visit Copenhagen? It is always a pleasure to visit Denmark. Love the culture, the spirit, the mentality, and the pastry of course. I think I could easily adapt to Hygge’s mentality. 🔵 Usually, you work remotely so how was it to be at the office with the team? Wonderful! For brainstorming sessions, quick problem-solving situations, and the best knowledge sharing, I do not doubt that being closer to the team helps. I also like working from home, since I’ve already developed a strategy that helps me be focused and productive. It was also great to bond and to create even a better team spirit with all of them. 🔵 Did you get a better overview of what opportunities lie ahead for ZTLment? Yes! At this company, we are constantly evolving, changing, and adapting to our customers’ needs. Some of the things we can’t reveal now, but I can assure you that they’ll be groundbreaking. We were able to figure out some new paths to take and it looks brighter than ever. 🔵 What was the best thing about your stay? Definitely to feel the team spirit, to catch up face to face, and to brainstorm about every small feature, future step, or idea that we might have as a team. I love the fast-paced environment, and it is always enlightening to work with such clever people. 🔵 Was it possible for you to learn some Danish words? Only a few, but I’ve improved each time I’m there. The new one was “glædelig jul”, to spread the Christmas spirit around. Next time I wish to order my coffee and cinnamon roll in Danish! Want to learn more about our product? Reach out to António Barradas or visit our website: https://ztlment.com/ #ZTLment #payments #interview #teamspirit

At Kuusakoski, our commitment to employee well-being is not just a value, it's an integral part of our sustainability program. Let's explore how different countries in which we operate go the extra mile for their teams. 💙 In Finland, employees can hire a personal health coach for six months, supporting positive changes in their daily habits, such as increased exercise, healthier eating, better sleep and recovery. 💙 In Estonia, a quarterly compensation is provided to each employee for health-related expenses. Additionally, extra paid vacation days on top of the 28 days that are legally required are available for the entire team each year, and gifts are given for significant life events and big jubilees. 💙 In Sweden, beyond regular training, extensive sessions covering safety, leadership, customer communication, and environmental awareness are offered. Team building events, like Kuusa Day are organized to focus on psychological safety, core values, and strategic direction of the company. 💙 Our UK team has established a platform for diverse online training, including Fire Awareness, First Aid, and Mental Health. Employee well-being is prioritized with events, Refer a Friend program, recreational amenities, and continuous improvement of onboarding and training for Team Leaders. 💙 In the US, our commitment to retaining staff is evident through events, on-the-job training, and support for new hires, along with monthly safety training for all staff. Professional growth is encouraged through various webinars and training sessions in their respective fields. These are just a glimpse of our ongoing commitment to our hard-working employees. Stay tuned for more insights from our local teams! #Kuusakoski #KuusakoskiRecycling #EmployeeWellbeing #KuusakoskiCares #SustainabilityInAction

Here is the first letter and our value from new POL-EKO Perfect Environment company mission 💙🌱 = Pracodawca (Employer)👩💼 Creating jobs is a great privilege but also a responsibility that we have undertaken towards several hundred people: employees and their families. We are aware of the needs of the people we employ which is why we constantly support their key values: development, work atmosphere and comfort. „Experience, changes and observation of the labor market have taught us humility towards our own abilities, strength and position. Because only in this way, recognizing our responsibility and respecting opportunities, we are ready to maturely, and I emphasize maturely, take on the challenges faced by a modern employer. Once I was at the forefront of an idea. Today, I closely observe - people, employees - who set the direction and pace of the company's development. I feel immense pride... “ Aleksandra Polok-Kowalska, owner of POL-EKO Communication, openness but also the courage to set requirements and create expectations towards the employee are the material on which we build our potential, which in the future will become the profit and success of all of us. #POLEKO #PerfectEnvironment #development

At today's "Fredagsforum" in Trondheim we discussed the importance of having a strategy for Onboarding foreign talent to Norway 🇳🇴 Adding a "chapter" to the Onboarding strategy that focuses on getting international hires settled OUTSIDE of work 🏡, so that they can focus AT work 🏢 is an important piece in the puzzle when tapping into the global talent pool. Yes, you should invest a little more in international hires. This is to move them closer to the same starting line as a native employee races off from the first day of work. 👀 Today we looked at 👀 1. Building AWARENESS in the organisation 😃 Pave the way for managers and colleagues to understand what the new international hire juggles in addition to work - before, during and after arrival. 2. Having a structured SUPPORT 👋 Put procedures in place to ensure the international hire get support with the necessary personal practicalities; Immigration, registration with local authorities, home finding, bank account, tax card, health care, child care, etc. 3. Make use of the SUCCESS achieved 🏆 When you have invested in a good onboarding to Norway, you can harvest many positive outcomes. Use them - to harvest more. Increased loyalty and strong employer branding helps you both in retention of talent and attraction of more! Thanks to Næringsforeningen i Trondheimsregionen (NiT) and all participants at the meeting for a good discussion and a relaxed, yet interesting start to the day! #OnboardingToNorway

Since I decided to move to New Zealand, which is a country with many people coming from all over the world, I realized that working with multicultural teams is a big challenge. Issues such as the relationship with hierarchy, body language, self-knowledge, family relationships... are sometimes difficult to "translate". Although it's not always a bed of roses, the experience has been incredible! Among the benefits that this is bringing me, I can highlight: - Greater attention and concentration due to the motivation and need to understand the perspective of employees from different cultures; - Improved decision-making process as groupthink effect is avoided - Greater creativity by combining more diverse perspectives and ideas; - Understanding of foreign business practices...among others And this photo? This photo translates well everything that I said in this post. Today we celebrate Cultural Diversity Day at #BlueRiverDairy in a shared lunch where people dressed in typical clothes from their countries in addition to bringing a typical dish. It was a very good cultural (and gastronomic!!!) experience. In this photo, we certainly have more than five or six. nationalities. #people #diversity #language #workexperience #newzealand
