Chore execution is still extremely difficult for robots. Not because the technology isn’t there, but the maturity of behavioral planning and safety design is so far behind human capability. Actual people are super good at errorhandling and task switching 🤷🏼♂️🙇🙂 Really looking forward to see what bot.co can build. 🙏👏 (and co.bot solving a similar problem as well 😅)

Robotiz3d Ltd is a technology spin-off from University of Liverpool, and is a joint venture between the University of Liverpool and a2e Industries, together with its co-founders Ms Lisa Layzell (CEO), Dr Paolo Paoletti (CTO), and Dr Sebastiano Fichera (Technical Director). With a goal to bring #robotics and #automation to the #constructionindustry, the long term vision sees swarms of completely autonomous vehicles capable of manufacturing, inspecting and maintaining buildings and large infrastructures. In the shorter term, Robotiz3d is developing a high-tech road maintenance vehicle capable of alleviating the #pothole problem in and outside of the UK. Robotiz3d is based at Sci-Tech Daresbury Science and Technology Campus, and has strong links with the @LERT lab at the University of Liverpool School of Engineering. Robotiz3d's mission is to develop and supply new generation robotics to the construction industry to help combat labour shortage, reduce cost, and improve efficiency and sustainability.

The nice thing about having a portable companion robot is that I can, and do, take it anywhere, not just because it’s fun, but that it’s invaluable for getting customer validation and gauging product/concept sentiment for bootstrapping this social robotics startup. While BMO-AI isn’t the product I’m going to market with, it certainly captures interest and gives me the opportunity to explain the idea behind the social companion robots we’re building and get some really good feedback. I almost wonder if I should put our little robot friend on the payroll for all the helpful work it does. At the least, it deserves some time off to enjoy a nice sunset. 😅 #socialrobotics

Video was released recently by 1X, a Norway based startup in robotics. It's not far in future when most of us will have such robots working at our homes for us. Enthusiasm, commitment and identity. It's been 2 months since I started working as a Business Analyst at Agade, and these are the first three words that come to mind when I think about where I am and the people I work with. AGADE is a deep-tech startup focused on the development of industrial exoskeletons that drastically reduce the fatigue associated with manual handling of heavy loads. The robotics industry and the product itself offer a remarkable experience, but what truly fascinates me is the opportunity to support the my department in creating new processes from scratch and redesigning existing ones to keep up with the growing complexity.
