Say Goodbye to Toxic Cultures & Say Hello to High Performing Leaders, Teams & Organisations | Leadership, Communication & Culture Change Expert | Business Advisor | Keynote Speaker | C-Suite Finance Exec
What a fabulous afternoon we had last Thursday at the final Queensland Leaders Alumni session for 2023, where we explored “What the business landscape looks like for 2024”. We had an incredible panel of Matthew Smith from Prime Financial Group, Mark Steinhardt from InterFinancial Corporate Finance Limited, and Lance Evans from Evans International Freight Consolidators Australia. The conversation was wide ranging, from the mergers and acquisitions landscape, cashflow and bank trends, to the current and future horizon of the import/export industry. We also explored the trends in staff attraction and retention, the general economic landscape and how to make our businesses stand out from the pack and be ready for anything. It was a really engaging session, by both the experts and the Alumni. Thank you to all the Alumni for a great 2023. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing you all each month and working to deliver you great learnings, connections and community. We also had the final #Aluminate session for 2024 (albeit with a few of our members unable to be there), with the amazing Peter McKeon from Salesmasters International Pty Ltd taking our executive group through all things sales, client attraction, understanding our own blockages to sales and creating strategies to take our business to the next level. To the business leaders in the Aluminate group this year, thank you also for your contributions, conversations and connections. I hope you received great value from the 6 months together and I know there is a lot more to come. So that’s a wrap from the Queensland Leaders landscape this year for me. I hope we can all take some time over the holiday period to reflect on the year that was – where we grew as people, the challenges we overcame, our failures and learnings from those, who we want to be and how we can get there in 2024. Because we know that our businesses are a reflection of who we are being as people. Be kind. Be safe. Be compassionate. Have fun! #thinkingleaders #QLdleaders #thinking #business

The annual InDaily 40 Under 40 awards recognise South Australia's top business leaders and this year truly shone a light on some exceptional achievements. One particular comment from Thomas Carlton, named "First Amonth Equals" and Managing Director and Owner of Bailey Abbott when he was asked for the best piece of advice he's been given was too good we wanted to share it. "When starting your business modelling, double the costs and half your revenue… and ask yourself can your business still survive?" What's the best piece of advice you've ever received? https://lnkd.in/dUg5HhTS
