Had a great privilege to attend Global IP conclave with my colleagues Ennoble IP (EIP) organized by ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India). Was amazed to listen deep IP insights on various topics underlining the importance of IP rights in various domains whether it is - E-commerce, Artificial Intelligence, Manufacturing etc. Looking at Patent and TM stats across India one thing is for sure - We are becoming an IP aware Nation! Today may be in board meetings frequently asked questions is - "but who owns the IP"! It took some time and efforts of all to reach here. We can not deny the fact that in developing the IP ecosystem everyone associated with Industry played their part. I think 10 years back scenario was quite different. Now it is different & It is fast changing! 10 years from now it will be different. IP Evolution! Reserve your seats before it takes off!

As a technical company, it is truly interesting to work with Shiji ChinaOnline. While collaborating with them, I often encounter peculiar technological barriers. Solving challenging problems can lead to personal growth, but sometimes these issues may defy common sense. For instance, in one situation, a seemingly straightforward task of modifying a pop-up notification message became unexpectedly complicated. The message was hardcoded into the codebase, and despite the upcoming two-week Spring Festival holiday, we were informed that it would take a whole month to modify just a single notification. During the routine spring cleaning of my phone, I stumbled upon the news report from Sin Chew Daily covering last week’s 'Hitting the Gong: IPO and Listing Your Company on Bursa Malaysia'. The event was organized by The Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor in collaboration with Bursa Malaysia and RDS Partnership, supported by The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia .   As I revisited the article, I was reminded of Ong Eu Jin’s insightful words during his presentation as one of the speakers of the day:     “一家公司成功上市时，在台上敲钟仪式，享受20至30分钟喜悦，不过，在上市的过程确实须经理漫长的申请， 监督和评估工作，这是很考验企业的能耐…“ [Rough translation: "When a company successfully goes public and the gong is struck on stage, there's a moment of pure joy lasting around 20 to 30 minutes. However, the process leading up to this moment is a testament to the endurance and capability of the company. It involves extensive applications, scrutiny, and evaluations. This truly tests the resilience of the companies..."]   As the Chinese saying goes, “台上一分钟，台下十年功”. (Rough translation: It takes ten years of hard work for that mere one minute on stage). This experience serves as a poignant reminder of the dedication and hard work that goes into achieving significant milestones. On Market View today: Semiconductor equipment maker AEM’s net loss of S$20.9m; ST Engineering’s, Sats net profit; Malaysia’s Ringgit outlook; Alibaba Group Holding slashes prices by as much as 55%; Seven & i Holdings bets on bigger stores, doubles variety Singapore shares rose at the opening bell this  morning, despite overnight losses in global markets. In early trade, the Straits Times Index (STI) gained 0.2 per cent to 3,145.29 points after 48.2 million securities changed hands in the broader market. In terms of companies to watch, we have semiconductor equipment maker AEM. The firm reported a net loss of S$20.9 million for the six months ended December, reversing from a net profit of S$44 million in the corresponding period a year earlier. Meanwhile from Alibaba Group Holdings slashing prices for cloud services by as much as 55 per cent to movements on the Malaysian Ringgit, more international headlines remain in focus.
