Begin with taking inventory of the most commonly ordered supplies and equipment in your daily operations. Next, ask yourself which of these things are critical to business operation, and which can be switched out. Can the function of supplies be bundled together? Do you need to source both napkins and tissue? Do you need to source Sharpies, Pens AND Markers? By asking yourself these questions, you can start to develop a plan on how to decrease and streamline your procurement process. 2. GO Paperless! Is your business still going through hundreds of loose leaf pages a day? How critical is physical communication in your workflow? By decreasing the amount of print-outs, posters and folders your team uses, you are decreasing the amount of waste you produce.
