TISS MPH-Health Administration batch of 2022-24 would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Amol Gite for his exceptional guidance and transformative insights into Health Management Informations System (HMIS). HMIS is vital for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services. They are interdisciplinary in nature and can be regarded from a variety of viewpoints, including technology, management, information science, medicine, and public health. However, there remains a significant barrier, particularly in low and middle-income countries. The first sessions focused on identifying concepts, disciplines, systems approaches, and HMIS data collection equipment. The class was then briefed about HMIS data quality, identifying barriers, and improving methods. The course concluded with discussion of goals, impact, barriers, and solutions for decision-making, interoperability, and contemporary HMIS issues. Throughout the course of learning, the deep insights into the intersection of healthcare and technology have genuinely shaped the budding Public Health Professionals’ perspective. Celebrating the success of MYCaW® and MYMOP® As we approach our first conference exhibition, we’ve been thinking about the work we achieved last year with our MYCaW® and MYMOP® tools. Not only did we welcome hundreds of license users for MYCaW® and MYMOP® around the world but also released our groundbreaking digital portals for both tools. The digital tools are quick and easy to use, the score changes are automatically analysed on a dashboard and raw data can be easily downloaded for analysis.  Using anonymised data, we also created a new Personalised Care Coding Framework for MYCaW®, enabling you to organise and report your individualised data.  We also had new partnerships last year – firstly with the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) to support their research programme using MYMOP® and secondly with YourClinic – a new online platform with booking and data collection functionality for acupuncturists which integrates MYMOP®. If that wasn’t enough, we tested out three online training courses throughout the year to support clients to administer MYCaW® and MYMOP® and analyse the data. Adam Smith and Philippe Michiels are in Berlin this week for the 2023 Gravitate Health workshop. There are plenty of fascinating discussions going on about how healthcare systems can use the FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standard, enabling improved HCP and patient engagement. 👨⚕️ 👩⚕️ 🏥 We have done a lot of exciting work with Gravitate Health, being involved in numerous Hackathons, testing and development to work out how FHIR can be utilised effectively with medicine information and support the healthcare industry with this industry-changing technology. When healthcare systems implement the new FHIR standard this is going to be a game-changer; not only for healthcare, but also for pharma companies in terms of understanding how users engage with their medicine information. We've been working on the implementation of this new standard in our own publishing platform for medicine safety information on emc. 💊 💉 With the implementation of FHIR on emc and throughout healthcare, medicine safety information can be linked to the patient record, enabling better engagement with safety documents such as SmPCs and PILs and improved decision-making around how to take medicines.
