Don't be stupid like me and watch for new version of an AWS certification. Learned for the V1 of this one but passed the V2 😵 Anyway, I made it and got a new shiny one. On Thursday I successfully recertified for the AWS Certified Security Specialty. My plan is to get the Networking Specialty by the end of the year. My main study tool was the exam prep from Tutorials Dojo. #aws #awsambassador #WeAreTelstraPurple #awssecurity

Should you attempt the AWS Certified Security – Specialty Exam in 2024? Answer depends on your level of AWS knowledge If you have zero hands-on knowledge then my answer would be NO. First build up your knowledge with something like the AWS Solutions Architect – Associate that teaches you the ins and outs of the AWS cloud As per AWS “AWS Certified Security - Specialty is intended for experienced individuals who have five years of IT security experience in designing and implementing security solutions and two or more years of hands-on experience in securing AWS workloads” Learn how AWS works before securing it Do not rush into it otherwise you will waste your efforts and time (plus money)

Finally after months early morning studies, achieved one more certificate! It has been a very good journey to prepare for this exam, gained lots of knowledge from security point of view, building my security mindset. #aws #awscertification #awssecurity
