🔴 🔴 🔴 … and just like that my 5 years at Slack has come to an end! What an incredible journey with an incredible organisation. It was the opportunity of a lifetime and I’m so very thankful to all of those who were a part of it! This brings me to the purpose of this post… I’m so very excited to announce the launch of Bryd (think hy-brid 😜 ) a Slack first consultancy ~ built by former Slack employees with extensive experience in implementing and managing Slack (Laurence Fitch and I). Slack isn’t just another messaging tool, it’s a way of working and implementing a new way of working often needs an expert partner who has seen and done it before… which we have. During my time at Slack I worked with hundreds of customers, across 14 different countries, and they would all tell me the same thing: “We love Slack, our team loves Slack, but we know there’s so much more that we could be doing with it”. Continuing our closer look at our new Slack integration this week 👇 Whether you respond to customers in Slack in bursts of 10 messages (our CTO Matt Vagni) or in one single response, we want you to be able to write the way you always do. 🎨 Every formatting detail is accounted for. Sometimes you say it in bold, sometimes with code, and sometimes with ❤️. Every message is full of important nuances and details. Formatting from Slack gets carried over to Plain and vice versa, so you’re never missing any meaning. 💬 Keep tabs without having to join channels. You can send a Slack message from Plain to every channel your bot is added to – regardless of whether you’re in it personally. Now you can both keep your support team in the loop and your Slack channels tidy. 🤖 Respond as yourself – or your doppelganger. Keep the conversation personal. Messages to channels that you’re already in are sent from your account; and messages to channels that you’re not in are sent by a friendly bot that looks just like you. Slack Connect channels are a gamechanger for support. A year ago people thought we were crazy when we suggested you should open up channels with customers (and even prospects!). We would get questions like "Won't customers be put off by sending them an invite?" or "Isn't that a bit weird?" Today - it feels completely normalized. The only question we get now is "How can you help us scale this?" And I'm still waiting to feel the repercussions. We're at > 350 Slack Connect channels and nothing seems to be breaking. #slackconnect Slack -- Notes -- 1/ For anyone wondering how to ask someone to open up a channel... As a vendor just say "do you want to continue the conversation on Slack" after you show them a demo of the product. And don't forget you can also ask your vendors to open up channels as well :) 2/ Caveat: Things would definitely be breaking if we didn't have Pylon to manage all of the customer communication!
