Real Moms Live: Nurturing Mental Health Through the Motherhood Journey At Real Moms Live, Child and Family Counseling, Inc., we recognize the profound mental health challenges mothers encounter throughout their journey of motherhood. From the moment of conception, the path of motherhood is strewn with emotional complexities and unforeseen hurdles. As mothers, we navigate a maze of identity shifts, reorganization, and the perpetual quest for balance amidst the chaos. Each day presents new challenges, from soothing a crying infant to guiding a rebellious teenager or young adult; all while managing our own emotional well-being. The reality is, motherhood is a life sentence providing support & nurturing even adult children as they are guided through navigating their own concept of family. Yet, amidst the joy and fulfillment, we encounter moments of doubt, guilt, and overwhelming stress. Society's expectations often amplify these struggles, fostering a culture of judgment and comparison that undermines maternal confidence. Real Moms Live understands the unique mental health needs of mothers and the importance of providing a safe space for expression and healing. Our journey encompasses the highs and lows, the triumphs and tribulations, and the relentless pursuit of self-discovery and growth. Through compassionate support and evidence-based interventions, we empower mothers to navigate their mental health challenges with resilience and grace. Maternal mental health is a gentle whisper that often goes unheard amidst the busyness of motherhood. As moms, we carry the weight of endless responsibilities, pouring our love and energy into nurturing our children and supporting our households. However, in this beautiful chaos, we must not forget to tend to our own emotional gardens. Prioritizing self-care isn't selfish—it's essential. It's about carving out moments of peace, acknowledging our own needs, and seeking support when the weight feels too heavy to bear alone. It's about giving ourselves permission to rest, to recharge, and to heal. Remember, it's okay not to be okay sometimes. Let's create a safe space where vulnerability is welcomed, where we can share our struggles and triumphs, and where we lift each other up with kindness and understanding. Because when moms thrive, families flourish. 💖 #happywithbaby #parenthood #parenting #newparents #love #support #maternalmentalhealthmatters #selfcareisessential #youarenotalone #embracingmotherhood

This week marks Children's Mental Health Awareness Week, a crucial time for us to reflect on the challenges facing our youth's mental well-being. At Backpack Healthcare, we're deeply committed to addressing the pressing issue of youth mental health and advocating for accessible and inclusive care for all children and teens. Did you know that 1 in 5 children and young adults have seriously considered suicide, and nearly 1 in 4 children face mental health challenges like anxiety and depression? These statistics highlight the urgent need for early intervention. What's even more concerning is the unequal access to mental healthcare, where many parents struggle to afford the care their children need, and certain communities lack the resources available to others. Additionally, BIPOC populations are disproportionately affected, facing higher rates of misdiagnosis despite higher prevalence rates of mental illness. That's why we believe that early mental health intervention is more critical than ever for today’s children, teens, and young adults. At Backpack Healthcare, we're on a mission to break down barriers and ensure that every child and parent, regardless of race, age, or economic status, has access to the pediatric mental healthcare they need and deserve. Download our white paper — https://lnkd.in/g6EXZDbU to learn more about our approach and how we're shaping the future of youth mental healthcare. #ChildrensMentalHealthAwareness #mentalhealthawarenessmonth 💚📑

Are you holding yourself up to unrealistic mom standards? We all want to be the best mom we can be. But what makes a “good mom”? Society has plenty of ideas–and they are often NOT helpful. We often end up feeling as if we need to over research and overthink every little parenting decision out of fear of making parenting mistakes that might mess up our children. This leaves us unable to trust ourselves, make decisions, and embrace our humanity. But what if we could find a different way to approach motherhood? What if we could let go of those unrealistic expectations, own our humanity, and mom in a way that aligns with who we are and what we value? It isn’t easy to let go of engrained norms or social expectations. But when we can unpack those harmful ideals, we can take control of our own motherhood journey, navigate our emotions, and find a way forward that feels right for us. Working with a mom therapist can help you do that! Connect with one of our qualified maternal mental health specialists today! Our maternal mental health specialists are here to help! We offer virtual therapy support for moms across Canada and the United States, serving you at every step of your journey. Our mom therapists understand what you’re going through. They can help with: 〰 Coping with infertility 〰 Anxiety and depression in pregnancy 〰 Preparing for postpartum 〰 Postpartum depression and anxiety 〰 Adjusting to motherhood 〰 Miscarriage and infant loss 〰 Mom Rage and irritability 〰 Intrusive and scary thoughts 〰 And more!
