I genuinely enjoy Live-Coding and Co-Working on Twitch (Twitch.tv/plaintextnerds).
Once you get comfortable essentially talking to yourself while you're working and get used to the idea of people literally looking at your screen while you work it becomes a great way to engage with people around the world and hear their stories in the chat.
Viewers come from the widest backgrounds imaginable with people who are curious about programming, to people who just want to chill with people who have a similar interest.
I've seen viewers change career and move into jobs they find more fulfilling, provide more security, and pay better.
My favourite streams are the ones where I get to teach things like API Design, Microservice Architectures, or even how Linked-Lists work.
Over the last few months, I've been a little too busy to stream, and I have genuinely missed it, so I'm coming back to twitch in the next few weeks (as soon as I've finished renovations in my office).
