Automation of all software dev processes should be actively encouraged. Role must be centered around working on DevOps technologies and infrastructure as code, for example: Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Python, Go, Bash scripting, Linux, test and development environments, automating the running and infrastructure of test suites. The ideal role includes a strong emphasis on internal advocacy of best practices, mentoring, education, and healthy-culture building. About The Engineering Org The ideal engineering organization is a healthy and cohesive team, with a strong sense of culture, and an openness to questions and out-of-the-box creativity. The organization should have multiple teams, and teams should have a reasonable degree of autonomy and identity, while still maintaining key values across all teams within the organization. The organization should have between 40 and 500 engineers. Preferred: * A strong cultural history of prioritising quality of technical approach and a clean codebase. * Engineers are proud of the technology involved in their systems, and believe they can have a meaningful impact in evolving the systems going forward * Processes around communication, documentation, and sharing/learning are integral to engineers' daily activities * Technical track supported - there should be evidence of a technical advancement path running in parallel with a management career advancement path.
