With a 36% surge in revenue to $22.7 billion in 2023, we're witnessing an unprecedented global appetite for entertainment experiences. But one of the major takeaways aside from revenue is the glocalization we're seeing in music... The fact that the top 50 tours saw a 50% increase in international acts compared to five years ago highlights a significant shift towards a more inclusive, global music scene. It's clear that the desire for live connection in a post-COVID world transcends borders, with international attendance spiking by 25.4%. As someone who would attend far more shows if I didn't have to drive a minimum of 3 hours (more typically it would be 9-10 hours) to see KPop concerts, I would be attending far more if tours weren't booking their dates almost entirely on the East/West coasts, Texas, and frequently Chicago and Atlanta. Have there been any conversations about market saturation in THOSE markets specifically, and any alternatives? Is "stop sending so many tours at one time to NY/LA/Chicago/etc" (fixing the quantity problem) the only alternative (vs., say, considering it a routing problem (always going to the same cities over and over for every tour)).

Interestingly, both artists fandom extended beyond traditional media, producing highly successful concert movies that contributed an additional $300m in sales. It's evident that music fans are well and truly back and will consume their favourite artists across many different forms. So pre-concert, you need to listen to the performer's entire discography and for certain tours, the song list is already set so it may be good to rehearse singing along with other concert-goers and you won't feel left out. Pre-concert, check the setlist on music streaming sites and listen on repeat – after all, the best way to enjoy a K-pop concert is to sing along. And if you don’t know the lyrics by heart, download these on a PDF for reference before entering the venue as reception inside concert arenas is often unreliable. Returning from a festival weekend is like no other, my Organizer friends know what I’m talking about. Luckily I have a few tips and tricks for managing the chaos . Tips For Preparing To Be Out Of Office | Live Events Style: ⭐️When setting your OOO response, list the response time it will take you to return emails. My boutique agency friends will appreciate this one. It will save you so much anxiety and set clear expectations, trust me. For example, “Thank you for reaching out, we can’t wait to curate your experience! Team FYMF is out of the office and onsite at another project but will be back first thing Monday. Please allow us a few days to review your request and follow up.” ⭐️Email all your active clients giving them a heads up. This works in your favor in multiple ways. Not only will this make your clients feel important and thought of, this looks good for business. The optics matter! Bonus tip! 💫 Email all your inactive clients letting them know what you’re doing this weekend and highlight your current client. This works wonders and most of the time leads to a new project. Don’t ask me how I know this 👀 ⭐️Block off the next few days in your calendar. A good leader knows when to limit the stress on their team and themselves. You’re going to need those days to catch up and re-incorporate into the grind. Do yourself a favor and move your meetings to the second half of the week.
