When the code is cracked on balancing work and day to day tasks in domestic environments and removing gender stereotypes, behaviours will naturally shift toward a fairer division of work and beliefs. Gardening, defrosting a fridge, changing lightbulbs, cooking, ironing and parenting are standard tasks, get the work done together. There is no need to ring your partner on multiple occasions to update on how defrosting is progressing or how difficult it was to get the creases out of a particular piece of clothing. These tasks are part of day to day life and enable the rest of your life to run smoothly. If you live in the same household share the work fairly 😉 If you live in a space where work is unfairly divided focus on what you can do for you (and your children). Live with ❤️ rather than perfection.
