🌍✨ A Milestone in DEI Efforts at PepsiCo ✨🌍 In a world where the conversation around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is more critical than ever, it's inspiring to see global giants like PepsiCo leading the way with actionable, data-driven strategies. Their Global Self-ID Campaign is a testament to what visionary leadership and a data-driven approach can achieve in fostering an inclusive workplace culture. With 310,000 employees across more than 200 countries, PepsiCo's commitment to DEI is not just about numbers; it's about creating a space where everyone can thrive. Achieving gender parity at 44% and aiming for 50% by 2025, PepsiCo's strategy is deeply embedded within its culture, as highlighted by Chairman and CEO Ramon Laguarta. 🏳️🌈 The Global Self-ID Campaign, specially designed for employees with disabilities, LGBTQ+, and veterans, has been a game-changer. Recognized by the World Economic Forum as a DEI Lighthouse for 2024, this initiative showcases the power of understanding the workforce's makeup to tailor more relevant and inclusive programs. By mobilizing employees to self-identify, PepsiCo is not just gathering data; they're making strides in LGBTQI+ inclusion, overcoming legal and stigma barriers. The results are telling: 12,475 employees across 33 countries have voluntarily self-identified, impacting pronoun usage and preferred names across the board. This initiative underscores the importance of senior leadership buy-in and the role of local HR in driving meaningful change. PepsiCo's efforts are a significant example of mobilizing employees to advance DEI, and I believe there's much we can learn and apply from their approach. Two huge things happening today at the Meat Business Women HQ... We're hosting 120 of our community at our Ireland networking event in Dublin with a brilliant speaker line up, with leaders in both retail and processing. It'll be a great day, and the second event of this kind in Dublin. And, we're also launching our second major global campaign, #ThePowerOfYou. What's #ThePowerOfYou all about? Our 2023 global gender representation report showed that progress is being made on gender balance in the meat industry, with 53% of people working in the meat industry think that inclusion has moved up the agenda and more women in senior roles than in 2020. But there is still more to do. If we want to continue building an inclusive & gender-balanced sector, then we have to come together as an empowered community, and pay our skills and knowledge forward to others to make it happen. And to make that happen, we want everyone who works in the meat industry, no matter your gender or career level, to feel empowered and confident in their unique skillsets and superpowers. It's time to believe in #ThePowerOfYou

Excited to see Meat Business Women launching their new campaign, #ThePowerOfYou, aimed at fostering an inclusive and gender-balanced sector. I've often observed that while progress has been made, there's still much to do when it comes to gender balance. I personally believe in empowering each individual with the tools and platforms they need to succeed. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how we can all contribute to a more inclusive industry. What are your superpowers, and how are you using them to make a difference? #MeatBusinessWomen #ThePowerOfYou #empowerment #community #diversityandinclusion #genderbalance #meatindustry

As a proud Jellyfish panellist in the "Work Like a Girl" discussion, I reflected on the essence of intersectionality and its pivotal role in our journey towards equality. 💜 Kudos to my dear colleagues who shared the stage with me - Juhyun Eom, Christine Davitt, Chenai Madziwa and our outstanding moderator - Carla Fernandes. And a special thank you to Luisa Monteiro Furlan, our Culture & Engagement expert, without whom the panel would not have been possible. 🚀 Defining Intersectionality: To me, as a working mom, intersectionality signifies recognizing that our experiences are multifaceted. Balancing being a woman and a mother unveils unique challenges and perspectives that shape our professional journey distinctively. 🌈 Cruciality of Intersectionality: Equality isn't a one-size-fits-all concept. Understanding how identities intersect is key to addressing additional hurdles faced by working parents, caregivers, and individuals of diverse backgrounds. By embracing these intersections, we pave the way for a more inclusive workplace and strive for genuine equality for all. 🔑 Empowering Diversity & Inclusion: Let's set the tone together, building awareness, and understanding unconscious biases, we create safe spaces where every voice is valued and heard. 🌟 Call to Action: Join me in championing diversity, fostering inclusion, and creating a workplace where every individual thrives! 👂 How do you - Katharina Hauke, Theresa Hüning, Inga Bohn, Miroslava (Mirka) Biresova, Johannes Kliesch, Katja (Neubauer) Kiesey - address intersectional issues and promote Diversity & Inclusion within your company? #DiversityandInclusion #Intersectionality #Equality #Empowerment

🌈Happy Pride Month! At Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, we are proud to celebrate the diversity within our organization and beyond. As we commemorate this month of love, equality, and self-expression, we want to highlight our very own Diversity Dictionary. Our Diversity Dictionary is a powerful tool that promotes understanding, respect, and inclusivity for all members of our vibrant community. It serves as a comprehensive guide, providing definitions and explanations of terms related to gender identity, sexual orientation, and more. In today's world, it's more important than ever to foster an environment where diversity is embraced and celebrated. The Diversity Dictionary is a testament to our commitment to creating a workplace where every individual feels valued, respected, and seen for who they are. By familiarizing ourselves with the language and experiences of diverse communities, we cultivate empathy and bridge gaps of understanding. This resource enables us to communicate effectively, using inclusive and affirming language that reflects our commitment to equality. The Diversity Dictionary is not only a valuable resource for our employees but also for our partners, clients, and the wider community. We encourage everyone to explore its contents, share it widely, and use it as a tool to promote inclusion in their own circles. In the spirit of Pride Month, let's continue to celebrate the beauty of diversity in all its forms. Let's champion love, acceptance, and equality every day, not just in June. Together, we can create a world where everyone is empowered to be their authentic selves. Join us in celebrating Pride Month and utilizing the power of our Diversity Dictionary to foster a more inclusive and understanding society. #PrideMonth #DiversityDictionary #InclusionMatters #EmbraceDiversity #LoveIsLove

Inclusion is the act of creating a work culture in which individuals can fully participate and equity refers to eliminating systemic barriers that inhibit full participation while providing equal access to opportunities for all. Equity recognizes that we do not all start from the same place and face different barriers. Equity for LGBTQI+ acknowledges that there are, still, many challenges that disproportionately impact the LGBTQI+ community. We need to seek equity for LGBTQI+ people. The #EquityIs campaign at Unilever aims to accept our differences and to actively work to remove barriers. https://bit.ly/3EMq7Vg #UnileverCanada

👨🍳👨🍳 In our household, cooking is a non-gender-specific role, and here's why it's teaching us invaluable life lessons: As we gather around the stove and cutting board, we break away from traditional stereotypes and embrace a more equitable perspective. My husband and son cook together, not because it's expected of them, but because they genuinely enjoy it. In doing so, they're not only mastering culinary skills but also imparting wisdom that transcends the kitchen: 1️⃣ **Equality:** By demonstrating that cooking is for everyone, regardless of gender, my family sends a powerful message about the importance of gender equality in all aspects of life. 2️⃣ **Diversity:** Cooking allows us to explore diverse cuisines, broadening our horizons and reminding us of the beauty of embracing different cultures and perspectives. 3️⃣ **Empathy:** Preparing a meal from scratch fosters empathy for those who may not have enough to eat. It reminds us to be compassionate and to give back to our communities. 4️⃣ **Independence:** Knowing how to cook means self-sufficiency. It's a life skill that ensures we can always feed ourselves and our loved ones, no matter the circumstances. 5️⃣ **Communication:** In the kitchen, communication is key. My husband and son discuss recipes, share ideas, and work together harmoniously, reinforcing the importance of effective communication in all relationships. 6️⃣ **Leadership:** Sometimes, one takes the lead, and the other follows. This dynamic teaches the value of both leading and supporting, lessons that apply in leadership roles and teamwork throughout life. In our home, the shared responsibility of cooking isn't just about preparing meals; it's about breaking down stereotypes, fostering understanding, and equipping us all with skills and values that enrich our lives. 🍳❤️ #GenderEquality #LifeLessons #CookingTogether #FamilyValues #Inclusivity

Reflection Fridays_It's not a Friday but who cares... It’s Thursday! ✨ and tomorrow is off for some of us This week, again, I became aware 😮 of the opportunities we miss when we exclude others' perspectives. In order words, how powerful the inclusion of diverse perspectives is. I have been in the same organization for 10 years. Even though I consider myself a self-aware person that constantly reflects and challenges the status quo, I am also biased (we all are) and have my own very strong perspectives 😎. As we are forming a new team with people joining from outside of the organization, I realized how important their opinions, questions and reflections are and what impact they have already had on me 💕. Only one week and I feel more empowered, knowledgeable and equipped just because of this exchange 💪. My team members are enriching my thinking and thus expanding my impact 💥. What would I have missed if I did not have these perspectives? 🧐 🎊 Probably the risk of not innovating enough when solving the problem. And thus not being able to solve the problem or solve it efficiently. And you ❓ Are you seeking those diverse opinions❓ Or do you stay in status quo❓ Enjoy! #D&I #DEIB #DEI #diversityandinclusion #inclusion, #diversitymatters #diversityequityinclusion #inclusiveworkplace #diversityandinclusionintheWorkplace #diversityandinclusionawareness #inspiration #empowerment #mentalhealth #feminism #genderequality #womeninbusiness #gender #womensupportingwomen #belonging #HeForShe #GenerationEquality #changetheratio #WhyCare? #MeasureIt

Reflection Fridays_Ah, that was easy! 🙌 It's Friday! ✨ This month I am working with one of the diversity networks🌈 on a short term project. This group of people work on this project on top of their daily job and most of the time there is little recognition of the work done. But let me tell you ❗ The project's product was ready 1 week before the deadline, in really good quality, there was no leader and I can already tell that the outcome will be positive (we are aiming for a certification being approved) 💥 . Why is that? 🤔 1. The individuals in the team care (the team is highly connected to its purpose) 2. The individuals in the team know what is to not be seen (part of what the project product is aiming at solving) 3. The individuals in the team trust each other (the team has invested time in knowing each other and doing things together) Is 1, 2 or 3 missing in your projects ❓ I know that most of us know these 3 points, so then... why are we still not making them happen ❓ Enjoy! #D&I #DEIB #DEI #diversityandinclusion #inclusion, #diversitymatters #diversityequityinclusion #inclusiveworkplace #diversityandinclusionintheWorkplace #diversityandinclusionawareness #inspiration #empowerment #mentalhealth #feminism #genderequality #womeninbusiness #gender #womensupportingwomen #belonging #HeForShe #GenerationEquality #changetheratio #WhyCare? #MeasureIt Pic by Freshbooks.com

1moIt is supposed to be written as "LGBTQIA2S+" I find it incredibly disrespectful not to include multi spirited persons in this event. I hope you all do better.
