Have you considered your 2024 goals, yet? At Bank of America, a top US company, management and leadership support the employees and their own goals, rather than set the corporate goals that may not align with all the teams.
Sheri Bronstein, the Chief Human Resources Officer, talks about supporting each individual, rather than the overarching yearly company goals. "...{It's} more about what our employees aim to do, professionally and personally in 2024, and how we’re helping them achieve that—whether those resolutions are related to their financial, physical or emotional health." Kudos, Bank of America, for finding an alternative way to support team growth, rather than setting the corporate goals. Allowing the teams and individuals to set their own goals means each person works harder to meet them, because they are more heavily invested in seeing the goal to fruition.
Bronstein encourages employee empowerment through goal setting and attaining those goals as a reason why Bank of America is considered a great place to work: "{Employees} could have their sights set on gaining a new skill, earning a degree, getting healthier, starting a family or saving for retirement—and those are all examples of things that we support as part of our commitment to being a great place to work."
Bank of America - a great place to work, because they prefer to let individuals and teams set their goals, rather than set the overarching company goals.
