ABB Robotics non-planar 3D printing of a curved pipe 👇 Few things beat standing next to a 3D printer and seeing a new path planning strategy come to life through an actual part. The part was printed in glass fibre reinforced PP using a thermoplastic extruder attached to an #ABB robot arm moving on the trackmotion. Process planning was done in #AdaOne together with #ABB #RobotStudio #3DprintingPowerpack. The work was done as a part of the SoftDREAM project, funded by EIT Manufacturing.
