Founded in 2016 by CEO Dr Cora Leibig, and headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, Chromatic now has facilities in the US and Germany and serves more than 50 customers and development partners globally.About the RoleAs a Lead Software Engineer for Chromatic 3D Materials, you will be the leader and creative force behind our proprietary printing software. At Chromatic 3D Materials, our cutting-edge chemistry delivers industrial-strength materials to our customers. The liquid printing methods we use are unique, and our software applications and processes are critical to produce reliable and reproducible high quality parts. You will lead the software development pipeline and be hands-on with a variety of challenging software projects to improve our customers' ability to create high quality parts using our products. This role will be onsite at our Golden Valley, MN location with occasional WFH days. Role ResponsibilitiesLead a wide range of challenging projects for our proprietary printing software such as: user interface development, computational geometry for path planning and optimization, and computer vision for printer automation and optimizationPartner with a multidisciplinary team of chemical, system, and additive engineers to systematically design, implement and analyze algorithms and processes which improve our customers' ability to create high quality parts using our productsDesign and develop highly-scalable systems and APIs to improve printing and address printing development bottlenecksExecute the full software development life-cycle including setting and managing release dates for software tools and managing the pipeline of software development toolsEnsure the use of good architectural patterns for long term software maintenance and extensibilityScout emerging software applications, and identify and specify the software tools that will accelerate our printing method development and shorten our part development time Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Computer Science or a related field7+ years of experience working in a professional software development environmentProficiency with C++ and Python Prior experience developing software with a hardware inte
