Help a student see behind the curtain? Hello folks, I am trying to help out a student who is seeking a role in the the mechanical and robotics tech space. They are _not_ looking for someone who has a role to hire them for but rather to talk to someone about the state of the industry and the hiring process for those roles - and my experience is on the software, data, and startup side so I can't be directly helpful. If you are recruiter or hiring manager of early career mechanical engineers and would be open to helping a student understand the current environment more - to see behind the curtain - please drop me a DM. #mentorship #earlycareer #robotics #mechanicalengineering

Are there sufficient job opportunities for today's Mechanical Engineering Graduate? here's what I see from talking to Engineer's on LinkedIn.. Well, I've gone and done it. Found one of those deep all important questions that affects the next generation of Engineers (or potential engineers). ❓ The original question: 'Is a degree in Mechanical engineering a viable option in today's job market? Are there sufficient opportunities for graduates to support themselves and their families?' So here's my answer.. In my perspective, mechanical engineering serves as the foundation, but the specific areas of specialization evolve over time and are crucial for both the present and the future. Two decades ago, CNC machining dominated the landscape, but today, we're witnessing a significant shift towards AI/Robotics and Data Science, all of which mechanical engineering seamlessly incorporates. As you progress through your degree, it's essential to consider the specific field or subject you're interested in for your career. Many companies offer junior positions in emerging engineering fields, allowing you to tailor your job search accordingly. I've had the opportunity to mentor an engineer with a master's degree in engineering who transitioned into the Data Science industry and has flourished. The insights gained from their degree have empowered them to be resourceful in creating innovative solutions. Do you see the same picture? 🖼 ----- Connect with me and enable notifications (🔔) for daily insights on engineering excellence, mentorship, and personal development. Join the Engineering journey of unlocking your potential and experiencing continuous growth! 🌱 Found this post useful? then please consider sharing with your networks ♻ #MechanicalEngineeringEvolution #EngineeringSpecialization #FutureofEngineering #AIandRoboticsIntegration #DataScienceInnovation

Founder & CEO, Disenosys | Automotive Design Training & Hiring Partners | Design Engineer Placements | Ex-Ford | Ex-Daimler | Ex-Jaguar Land Rover | Ex-GM
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗗𝗢𝗧. Yes, the reason why most of the engineers fail in tool tests in because they 𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 what Remastering is and how to do it. Out of 100 candidates I #interview, 97 fail in their first round of tool tests because they are NOT prepared, even those who claim they are #EXPERTS in #CATIAV5 or #Siemens #NX. Not only the graduates from Tier 2 or Tier 3 colleges, but also graduates from #IITs and #NITs dont have the skills expected by the industry. 𝗦𝗔𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬. Recently we had an intern from Ramaiah Institute Of Technology, one of the leading institutes in the nation. He had an offer from a top steel manufacturer with a very good package. Yet his interest was to become an #Automotive #Design #Engineer and wanted to get into top Automotive OEMs. I pushed his profile to a lot of managers in my circle but unfortunately, he did NOT have the skills to get into these Automotive companies. What do we do when we appear for exams? We prepare for the exams based on the given #curriculum. This is the same with interviews as well. When 90% of automotive companies conduct Remastering tool test for #Freshers, attending these interviews without knowledge on basic Remastering will always lead to failure, no matter how many interviews you attend. Watch how our Fresh #Graduate Engineer #Trainee, Mr.BHARATHI KANNAN R aced his Remastering tool test with one of our top Automotive OEM clients. He completed the Remastering assignment in the given 45 minutes and DID NOT extract any surfaces. Instead he created his own surfaces with the help of lines and points he generated from the input STEP file without any link to the reference object. If given more time, he would be able to constrain all the lines and elements properly as per #industry #standards. This is the very basic #expectation of the industry. If you are a Mechanical Engineer who wants to get into Design, but dont get enough #opportunities or keep failing in interviews, reach out to me. If you are interested in learning Remastering, comment your graduation year and software expertise below in the comment section. We will reach out to the potential candidates. Follow Praveen Kumar and Disenosys for more Automotive industry related news.
