(4%) decline in UK GDP as a long term forecast vs if we had stayed in the EU https://obr.uk/forecasts-in-depth/the-economy-forecast/brexit-analysis/#assumptions
First of, I have a feeling there is more to this than meets the eye and not in a positive way. Second, its a forecast and a very optimistic one for Eastern Europe. Third, this forecast report is at most superficial and as it admits, subject to high uncertainty. Do not forget that statistics in general, are interpreted through its creators depictions of the data presented, ergo a limited amount of data or from a very broad point of view, will paint a very different picture versus reality. In my opinion, we have hard times coming in 2025 and we should all stay weary, realistic and reactive untill we can confirm that economic growth we are all striving for at the end of 2024. We still have a lot to go and changes that will not benefit Europe are pending implementation on the global scene. We need to play our hands right and careful before the end of this year.
What's the reason behind the higher growth trends in eastern countries?
Good for countries like Malta, Romania, Cyprus but bad for Germany, France, Sweden, Netherlands!!
That shows that the current economic model has reached its limits: new rules and laws are needed, please not another war.
Pure evil - note the names. Fishfarms with Salmon is the worst manmade nightmare, for all living life, on earth. It is massive pollution. They are racing lice, parasites, and all fish are sick. Cermaq, that are making the food, are on top of the list, rayed as the worst company in the world. In Norway we have empty rivers, because of that nightmare. The beaches are dead, and areas for schrimps, lobster, crab are gone. So are all the birds, along the coast.ย All the fish in the cages are sick, and makes all other fish sick. They slaughter sick & dead fish, and sell it as ยซpremiumยป farmed Salmon. People get listeria. And people die. Already in 2014, my people in Norway. Had most poison in their bodies, of all people in Europe, because of this. Now we are on top of the statistics, on most types of cancer. This is true crime. And the worst crime. In the world. If someone allows a nightmare like this. In my eyes. They are murderers. They are worse, then a druglord. And the money are more dirty. It hits our children, they get cancer easier, and it is the biggest shame. Ever. On and for us, You. Me + mother earth. The stockmarked are not allowed. To register a company, like that. It is against the rules, in all countries. In the world. And has to be.

Interesting, seems the highest growth is not coming from the ย most economically powerful European countriesโฆ

1moThis confirms (again) that EU membership gives a big growth push for the new members. From memory; that push lasts at least aboutr 10 years.
