Please connect with him and say hello!     ❓: What has your career path looked like?  🅰️: I have 3 years of experience working in cybersecurity companies, managing multiple areas such as finance, people management, and the operational part of the business. I am passionate about process improvement, time optimization, and valuable resource management. I have proactively found and developed functional areas, helping in operability to its most complex extent.     ❓: Why did you choose to work at Echelon?  🅰️: Echelon is a high-performing, professional company with a good work culture focused on work-life balance. It is also experiencing exponential growth. At Echelon, you are part of a wonderful team with excellent leadership and growth opportunities.     ❓: What does a typical day at work look like for you?  🅰️: Easy. If you love what you do, you are not really working. You give everything of yourself because your work is valued and appreciated. A typical day for me involves both teaching and continuous learning.     ❓: What is something you want to fix in the field of cybersecurity?  🅰️: I am passionate about improvement processes, so I would say implementing operational improvement processes within the cybersecurity field.     ❓: What do you like to do in your free time?  🅰️: Reading, writing my memoirs, going to the movies, and going to the gym.     ❓: If you were in a zombie apocalypse, what character would you be and who would you want on your zombie-fighting team?  🅰️: I'm a super fan of the horror and science fiction genres. With so many movies I've seen, I have an action plan for a zombie apocalypse. Maybe I wouldn't be the last survivor, but I would be one of the main characters guiding the team of survivors. I would love to have people with nerves of steel on my team.

Please connect with them and say hello!      ❓: What has your career path looked like?  🅰️: I got involved in the cybersecurity field by being part of the training crew at a cybersecurity training company. Then I started working at a bug bounty company testing the vulnerabilities reported and rating them. I also have worked as a web developer for a company and freelancer as well, this has helped me to have a better insight of web applications and their security. Really a coding enthusiast, especially when it comes to malware development (C and assembly fan).    ❓: Why did you choose to work at Echelon?   🅰️: When I first saw a job position at Echelon, I looked at their website and read about the company and the people involved and I liked it all. I felt this was a good opportunity to move forward in my career and challenge myself, a time to improve my skills and contribute with the Echelon team.    ❓: What does a typical day at work look like for you?   🅰️: A coffee cup by my side, my computer running some virtual machines ready for hacking and all of these in a comfortable space at home where I can focus on what I’m doing. Then it goes from running scanners, doing manual testing, finding vulnerabilities, and exploiting them.     ❓: What is something you want to fix in the field of cybersecurity?   🅰️: I would like to contribute to creating a more secure cyberspace for everyone. But this also involves educating the end user about the risks present in technology and how to spot them. Making a secure space depends on all the people involved, from developers to end users, it’s a team job.    ❓: What do you like to do in your free time?   🅰️: I´m a musician as well, I play the upright bass and love jazz, especially jazz manouche or gipsy jazz. I like to work out and go out to some salsa clubs to dance.    ❓: If you were in a zombie apocalypse what character would you be and who would you want on your zombie fighting team?  🅰️: I think I would be the guy who fixes things, like electronic or mechanical things. On my team I would love to have Machete (Quentin Tarantino character), Rambo, Bruce Lee and maybe Edward Scissorhands.

Please connect with them and say hello!    ❓: What has your career path looked like?  🅰️:  I have spent most of my career in the Managed Service Provider industry, starting as a field systems engineer around 17 years ago. My early days involved setting up workstations and printers. As time went on, I moved into more specialized roles, working on server and networking projects, and eventually delving into Citrix cloud solutions for our clients. Later in my career, I transitioned into Technology Consulting and Cybersecurity. In my last four years, I focused on building the cybersecurity practice for the MSP (Managed Services Providers) I worked with. This included setting up and managing a Security Operations Center, which supported the security services we offered to our 200+ clients and then later for 800+ clients after we were acquired.    ❓: Why did you choose to work at Echelon?   🅰️:  I have had the pleasure of meeting Dan Desko and working with some of the other team members at Echelon over the years on multiple cybersecurity projects. I always admired the mission of the firm, the core values, professionalism, and the work ethic that the team at Echelon has.      ❓: What is something you want to fix in the field of cybersecurity?   🅰️:  Easy button cyber solutions. There are way too many vendors out there promising quick security fixes through new products that only introduce more complexity and risk to the organizations that adopt them. The focus needs to go back to the basics.    ❓: What do you like to do in your free time?   🅰️:  I am an FAA commercial pilot and flight instructor. I like to spend my free time teaching others to fly or to travel to new airports with friends and family.    ❓: If you were in a zombie apocalypse, what character would you be and who would you want on your zombie fighting team?   🅰️:  I am a big Walking Dead fan, so I would be Rick Grimes and I would want Daryl and Michonne with me.
