We’re honored to be nominated in this year’s Skift Idea Awards for our work to help make the travel industry a more inclusive place, with the launch of our Ethical Marketing Guidelines. The guidelines were a result of an 18-month reflection period during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, that challenged Intrepid to think about what it means to truly be a responsible and inclusive tour operator. They contain five commitments and 23 measurable actions – such as ensuring at least 50% of Intrepid’s content partners identify as BIPOC, 10% as plus-size, 10% as LGBTQIA+, and 10% as Indigenous –.to hold ourselves accountable in becoming a more diverse and inclusive brand and company. - A Continuous Celebration of Diversity Months ago, we have celebrated Diversity Week, and although it has come to an end, the reflections it spurred continue to resonate with me. It's a gentle reminder of the inclusive culture we have at Vion Food Group, not just for a week but EVERY SINGLE DAY. Life threw mixed cards my way—financial ups and downs, and a bumpy start in the job market during the pandemic. Despite having been part of some notable companies, it was here at Vion that I truly felt a sense of belonging. In one of my past experiences, being the only foreigner in the department sometimes meant conversations halted before they could begin. But at Vion, the story is different. It’s a place where conversations flow freely, respect is a given, and every voice MATTERS. I’m incredibly proud to say that Vion Food Group does more than just feeding the world. It’s where dreams get the room to bloom, develop and happen. Here, I've had the opportunity to work alongside highly capable colleagues, and thanks to that, I’ve grown leaps and bounds in a short span in the sustainability area. The support from my mentor and team leader, Cem Kanbur, has been nothing short of a catalyst in this journey. So, even as Diversity Week has been a long ago, the ethos it stands for is a lived reality here at Vion, and I am excited for the many more milestones we’ll achieve together in this nurturing partnership. #VionFoodGroup #DiversityAndInclusion #Growth #Thankyou

A dynamic Event Project Manager & Emcee with a solid grounding in logistics, a passion for storytelling & creating engaging content & a commitment to deliver valuable experiences for all with authenticity & warmth.
Yay for sober inclusion! 😃 I wrote about my recent experience at an event where I was catered for and felt included as a sober person in the alcohol-free drinks on offer. It made a refreshing change and kudos to Clifford Chance, for serving a decent selection of tasty, adult beverages🍹 Check out my new Substack article here on the many reasons why hospitality and events need to make more effort on this issue: https://lnkd.in/djBWk7RX

🎨 Embracing Diversity: Learning from the Colors of Holi! 🌈 As we celebrate the vibrant festival of Holi, it's more than just about splashing colors and revelry. It's a beautiful tapestry of lessons we can imbibe into our professional lives. Here's what we can learn: 1. Celebrating Diversity: Holi brings people from all walks of life together, transcending barriers of caste, creed, and status. In our workplaces, embracing diversity fosters innovation, creativity, and a rich tapestry of ideas. 2. Fostering Harmony: The joy of Holi lies in the harmony of colors blending seamlessly. Similarly, in our teams, fostering harmony and collaboration leads to greater productivity and a positive work environment. 3. Letting Go of Grudges: Holi is a time to forgive and forget, symbolized by the tradition of burning Holika. In our professional journey, letting go of grudges and past grievances clears the path for personal growth and professional advancement. 4. Sparking Creativity: The riot of colors during Holi ignites creativity and imagination. Similarly, in our roles, embracing a colorful array of ideas and perspectives can lead to breakthrough innovations and solutions. 5. Resilience in Adversity: Despite the chaos of colors, Holi teaches us to revel in the moment and emerge resilient. In our careers, facing setbacks with resilience and bouncing back stronger defines true success. 6. Community and Team Spirit: Holi is celebrated with friends, family, and communities coming together. Similarly, in our workplaces, nurturing a sense of belonging and camaraderie enhances teamwork and organizational culture. As we immerse ourselves in the festivities of Holi, let's carry forward these invaluable lessons into our professional lives, creating workplaces that are as vibrant and inclusive as the colors of this joyous festival! #Holi #Inclusion #Diversity #ProfessionalGrowth #Teamwork #Resilience #Creativity #WorkplaceCulture

Today, as we celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, we at Empanda are reminded of the incredible richness that cultural diversity adds to our lives and work. It enhances our creativity and brings us closer together, weaving a stronger, more connected community. At Empanda, we believe that true innovation and growth stem from a foundation of inclusion. By welcoming and celebrating every culture, we ensure that everyone’s voice is not just heard but also cherished. This commitment to diversity is at the heart of what we do and who we are. So, let’s start stepping out and reaching across cultural lines. Try something new, learn about a different culture through music, clothing or language. How do you celebrate cultural diversity in your everyday routines? Do you explore different cuisines, or perhaps the philosophies and traditions that resonate with you? Share your experiences with us. Each step toward understanding and valuing diversity is a step toward a more inclusive, vibrant world. #CulturalDiversityDay #LearnAndGrow #InclusiveSociety

Your business is measured through financial targets, goals and initiatives. It is however your people the ones that will develop these tactics that will facilitate your sucess. And, when it comes about how you integrate your staff, we have too much to do to make our workplaces more diverse, equal and inclusive to everyone, everywhere. And your people are very aware of where you sit in landscape. I've been at Jellyfish for over 10 years now, and I've always been conscious we have been at the forefront on this space. BUT, inside me, I know it isn't enough. We still have disparities, and many things we continously miss (or are bias), so we clearly need to do more. And, why not, share it with the world. I am proud to share our first DEI report, led by our estimated colleagues Chris Mariel and Luisa Monteiro Furlan. It's a testament to our commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. You can access it here👇. https://lnkd.in/eGWiW8Xn #dei #diversity #equity #inclusion

In the spirit of Holi, let's pledge to bring more color into our work lives through 1. Innovation: Like the vibrant colors of Holi, let's commit to being bold and innovative in our ideas. 2. Inclusivity: May we continue to build teams that celebrate diversity and inclusion, recognizing the strength that lies in our differences. 3. Renewal: Just as Holi marks the end of winter and the onset of spring, let's use this time to rejuvenate our goals and strategies for the year ahead. I love a grand finale – a really good final scene that keeps you thinking about a movie or play long after you leave the theater. That’s exactly what I saw yesterday – except I was not at the movies. I was at a cross-company collaboration event organized by A.P. Moller - Maersk, that was part of their “Diverse Ability” week. Presentations and talks featured Maersk’s own Leigh Ramsay 🇿🇦 sharing her powerful story, which you can see on her recent Linkedin post, as well as @Tine Arentsen Willumsen, the head of Over and Beyond, talking about the importance of nurturing a truly inclusive of all kinds of abilities. The talk went on with concrete examples from @Hector Minto, the Lead Technology Evangelist for Accessibility (fabulous title), @Sarah Loucks, SAP’s Global Lead for Autism at Work and @Christian Lauritzen of ISS Facility Services. It was an excellent event filled with thought-provoking conversations. The panellists covered key elements needed to drive change – including leadership, employee representation groups, a network, external partners, accessibility (via architecture and tech), and a strong network – and then opened up the dialogue for a final question-and-answer session. As things were wrapping up, we heard a voice from the back of the room. Hafaz Shah, from his wheelchair, asked if one key point was missing from the discussions. From his perspective, we can always build the tools we need to change and gather the people to make it happen, but it all must begin with a change in mindset – and where, he asked, are the tools to change our mindset? The point hung in the air – begging to be addressed. I approached Hafaz and thanked him for his comment. It took courage and I wanted to tell him so, but instead of accepting it and leaving it at that, he asked me to post about what happened. So here I am. Hafaz is asking for change that will improve the working situation of all people with hidden- and visible disabilities, but he is also, personally, looking to be part of the solution. He needs a job – and is eager to work. Check out his profile, and leave your comments - and support - below. Again many thanks to Maersk for hosting this excellent event! #inclusion #disability #diversity Giulio Volhøj Castagni Parasole Suzanne Dee Pedersen
