Thomson Reuters HighQ + DocuSign using #PowerAutomate?
While not as glamorous as #GenAI, a big part of our work here at echo.legal will always be trying to get the most out of existing tech solutions and getting them to talk to each other in the most efficient way possible.
For example, we recently helped a client combine #HighQ (for contract generation/approvals) and DocuSign. Now, HighQ already has an excellent out of the box integration with DocuSign, but the integration didn’t go quite far enough for the level of automation that the client wanted to bring to this project, so we had to be creative.
Time is of the essence, so rather than building an integration from scratch (and dealing with hosting, security, scalability...), we decided to test out whether we could use Power Automate for a simple HighQ-DocuSign two-way integration.
It worked! We used our custom HighQ connector (link below) with pre-built connectors for DocuSign in Power Automate to automatically send documents for signature, with recipients picked up from an iSheet and signature tabs entered automatically, and crucially: send out on triggers inside HighQ (e.g., an approval being granted).
This means rather than wait for a manual intervention to start the DocuSign process, as soon as a change is triggered inside HighQ, the DocuSign process is automatically kicked off.
We created a proof of concept in a few hours, and we are now moving to a full build with the client.
Do you have use-cases that are a bit too complex for current integrations but don’t know where to start? Are you worried about managing your HighQ instance as you scale up your usage? Get in contact and see how we can help!
